Daniel “Danny” Cho In ‘Beef’ Series :Daniel “Danny” Cho is the male counterpart of Amy Lau. He is portrayed by Steven Yeun, whose film credits include Nope, Minari, Trollhunters, and The Walking Dead. Danny is a failing construction worker, who has torn apart between being a good son and providing for his family while also making it big in LA.
Danny’s personal insecurity and pettiness reflects after the road-rage feud with Amy and his reluctant desire to exact revenge brings about terrible consequences Danny was an ostracized child at school whose only comfort space was his brother Paul.
Daniel is hurt, broken and anguished and his enmity with Amy gives his life a purpose. Vengeance is the sole ingredient that constitutes Danny. His later interactions with Amy indicate that he feels stuck in this vicious circle of life.
