‘Ishido’ Who Plays & Character Explanation – Shogun” is a ten-episodic historical war drama series currently streaming now Hotstar & Hulu. In the series, Ishido is the main antagonist. His performance as a villain is amazing. So, as the audience wants to know about the character let’s start this discussion.
Before we start our discussion let’s know about the story of this series. The story is about Lord Toranaga who is trapped in the civil war to fight against the Council of Regents.
In the series, the Character of Ishido is played by Takehiro Hira. He is a 49-year-old Japanese actor. He did movies like “Gran Turismo”(2023), “Snake Eyes: G.I. Joe Origins(2021)”. He has done series like “Monarch: Legacy of Monsters(2023)”, ” The Swarm (2023) ” , “Tsukahara Bokuden(2011) ” etc.
Ishido is a rivalry of Toranaga. He is one of the members of the Council of Regents. He always does conspiracy to hunt down Toranaga. But Toranga is successfully pranked with him. As Toranaga left that country so, the voting will not be done as one member of Reagent is missing. But Ishido never stops to thinking to hunting him down.
He also met Yabushige & talked with him to do more conspiracy but it didn’t work at all. He is on the way to stop as he can’t do anything if they do not find one more member of the Reagent. At this point, he meets with the mother of the heir of Osaka, the lady Ochiba. Ochiba really influenced him to make a tough choice. They make hostages of other Lords & make Nobutatsu the new member of the Council. Nobutatsu is a half-brother of Toranaga. He Went where Toranaga was Hiding and ordered him to sacrifice with his allies.

That’s actually the plan of Ishido & Ochiba. In the end, Ishido lost the battle against Toranaga.
But as a negative character, he really did an awesome job. A silent deadliest antagonist also with a Female antagonist. He also takes time to make decisions but when Ochiba arrives he takes to time to make ruthless decisions.
