Welcome To Chippendales Ending Explained: HULU has come forward with a brand-new mini-series that debuted on 22nd November 2022. Based on the novel “Deadly Dance: The Chippendales Murders” by K. Scot Macdonald and Patrick MontesDeOca, the drama mini-series that follows the life and career of Somen ‘Steve’ Banerjee who was the founder of Chippendales.

The first two episodes aired in the first week and the rest will release one Episode weekly. If you’ve watched the first two Episodes, there are two surprises for you.

One would be the unique cast, in which in one place you have Kumail Nanjiani playing the lead role and on the other hand, you have Dan Stevens playing the role of Paul Snider. Now, the second surprising part is, what you see, the characters you saw in the Episode, are all real people.

Now, our focus of this article is the character played by Dan Stevens which is Paul Snider who comes into the newly opened backgammon titled “Destiny 2” after Somen pours all his savings into and Paul along with Dorothy Stratten arrives at the club on a Friday evening finding a very dull and dry club.

If you’re not familiar with these two people, Dorothy Stratten was a Playboy Model and as Paul rightly says, she was “Playmate of The Month”, While everything on the show might seem hunky dory and all, it’s the history of Paul and Dorothy that we want the readers to focus on.

Paul Snider was a nightclub promoter and a pimp who met Dorothy while she was in high school and groomed her to become a model, Both of them became lovers and it was Snider who took the nude photographs of Dorothy to send to Playboy where she was selected Playmate Of The Month in 1979. The couple then moved to Las Vegas where they got married as well.

Snider was very much into get-rich-quick schemes and had been trying his luck but failing nonetheless and Stratten, on the other hand, was keeping the boat afloat and financially supporting Snider.

It wasn’t until 1980 that Stratten was named Playmate of The Year and also cast in a movie where she had an affair with the director and the couple separated shortly after. On August 1980 Stratten was found shot and killed alongside Snider in a house she had shared with him. In the investigation, it was concluded that Snider raped and murdered Stratten and then killed himself shortly after.

"I'm just a humble cinephile with a knack for stringing words together. My reviews may not be as fancy as "The Grand Budapest Hotel" but they'll give you a good idea of whether a movie is worth the ticket price. I may not be a "Casablanca" of criticism, but I'll always give you my honest opinion. So join me on this journey of cinematic discovery, it's sure to be "One for the Ages."
