The Independent Movie: John Cena, as we all know is one of our favorite WWE Stars of all time and probably has a pretty huge fan following but these days, he’s found this fame in acting. We all are aware of John Cena’s acting debut in The Marine and then followed by some good action flicks with a couple of comedy films too.
Not just that, he’s a successful writer as well but with all of that in mind, John Cena keeps trying to amaze us and this time, after his knockout role as Peacemaker in DC’s The Suicide Squid followed by the standalone series of Peacemaker, he’s back with a Peacock Original Film titled “The Independent” which is a Political Thriller and that is something else right? Elisha James is a reporter at the Washington Chronicle and in her pursuit of stories, she comes across a conspiracy that could impact the results of the upcoming presidential elections. We see John Cena playing an independently run Presidential candidate who is a Yale University alum, an Olympic gold medallist, and a best-selling author who is facing an unpopular opponent and a Republican Senator who, if selected would be the first-ever Woman President.
The story revolves around Elisha uncovering a conspiracy of embezzlement at the expense of public schools.
The film has been released on Peacock on November 2, 2022.
