Netflix presents their sixteen episodic romance comedy Korean drama “Queen of Tears”. Hong Hae In and Baek Hyun Woo were married but after sometime their relationship became weak and Baek Hyun Woo opted for a divorce. But when Baek Hyun Woo went to talk about divorce, Hong Hae In told him that she had a brain tumour.
After that their life changed, and Baek Hyun Woo started getting affection on her again. As Yoon Eun Seong who is Hong Hae In’s old lover came in between them things between them became more complicated.
Episode 13 and 14 was more of an emotional ride. The director explored the emotional connection between the characters. After the death of the chairman, the Queen’s family got back their wealth and properties. When they went inside the secret underground vault of the chairman they saw only blank space without any money. Apparently, Yoon Eun Seong’s mother already moved them. It was about 900billion money of secret slush fund of the chairman.

Chairman left a voice note for Hong Hae In about his incompetent situation after all these years his greed for money became his enemy. Yoon Eun Seong’s mother showed Yoon Eun Seong the money. Hong Hae In’s father gave the building in Baek Hyun Woo’s village to Baek Hyun Woo’s father as a gratitude for their caring.
Baek Hyun Woo got a call from a hospital in Germany telling them they could proceed with surgery on Hong Hae In. But there is a problem with it, Hong Hae In will lose all her old memories after surgery. Baek Hyun Woo told everyone about the surgery news. But he didn’t tell the after-effects of the surgery to Hong Hae In because she would say no to it.
Hong Hae In’s parents said goodbye to Baek Hyun Woo’s parents as they got their home back they were going back. Hong Hae In’s brother said he is not leaving right now as he need to learn things from here so he will come after some time. Hong Hae In told their parents that she will be staying with Baek Hyun Woo in his new flat even though it’s small. They spend some time together.

Baek Hyun Woo and Hong Hae In went to Germany for her surgery. Baek Hyun Woo told Hong Hae In about the after-effects of her surgery and she declined the surgery. After many talking and convincing Hong Hae In finally said okay to the surgery. Yoon Eun Seong also went to Germany to be there with Hong Hae In at the time of surgery.
Yoon Eun Seong killed the land dealer and put the blame on Baek Hyun Woo. Hong Hae In’s surgery got finished and it was successful but when Baek Hyun Woo tried to meet her Interpol came there and arrested him. In Baek Hyun Woo’s place, Yoon Eun Seong saw Hong Hae In after her recovery and told her he was her lover before.
Now Baek Hyun Woo is in jail and Hong Hae In is with Yoon Eun Seong with no old memories. What will happen to them, will Baek Hyun Woo get back with Hong Hae In is what we are looking for on the next episodes as it comes to an end next week.
Episode 15 will release on 27th of April and finale episode 16 will release on 28th of April on Netflix. The final 2 episodes may have more than 2 hours of runtime. Fourteen episodes of this “Queen of Tears” is available in Netflix with Korean language and English subtitle.
