“Queen of Tears” Episode 3 Recap and Explained: Netflix presents another Korean romantic comedy-drama “Queen of Tears” in sixteen episodes with about 1 and a half hours of runtime per episode. This drama is from the creator of the famous drama “Crash Landing on You”. Hong Hae In and Baek Hyun Woo are a married couple. As Hong Hae In is from a rich family the relationship between Hong Hae In and Baek Hyun Woo does not go well after the marriage.
Baek Hyun Woo thought she was from a poor family and married Hong Hae In. When Baek Hyun Woo went to ask for the signature to divorce Hong Hae In, Hong Hae In said that the doctor told her that she wouldn’t live more than 3 months as she had Cloud Cytoma disease.
When Baek Hyun Woo hears it, he changes his behaviour towards her. He cleared the thoughts about the divorce and started showing love to her so that he could encourage her to give her will to him before she died.

The episode starts with a flashback of Hong Hae In in Baek Hyun Woo’s village. They are visiting Baek Hyun Woo’s mother’s shop. Baek Hyun Woo gets her iced candy from their shop. Hong Hae In tells him it’s her first time eating it. Baek Hyun Woo tells her that his family is rich enough to feed her. Baek Hyun Woo talks like he thinks Hong Hae In’s family is very poor. Hong Hae was trying to clarify things about her family but Baek Hyun Woo overtakes her talks.
Cut back to the forest, Baek Hyun Woo saved Hong Hae In in the last episode. After that Yoon Eun-Seong arrives at the spot. Baek Hyun Woo walks with Hong Hae In as she is terrified. Hong Hae In falls down due to her heeled shoes. Baek Hyun Woo lifts Hong Hae In and carries on his hands and he walks. Hong Hae In’s grandfather’s second wife tells Hong Hae In’s mother that the shaman called her and told her grandfather going on hunting today is dangerous that’s why he came back. And also Hong Hae In took his position on hunting. Baek Hyun Woo arrives with Hong Hae In.
As they all meet, Hong Soo-Cheol mocks Baek Hyun Woo about his lack of skill in shooting as it was pure luck she got saved. But Hong Hae In tells them that Baek Hyun Woo was a marine in the Special Guard Team and he was known for his shooting skills. Hong Hae In didn’t come to the dinner, the gardener comes to the dinner with his dog, chairman asks if he could sell it to him, but the guy denies it.

Later that night Baek Hyun Woo tries ways to avoid going to the bedroom as Hong Hae In is sleeping there. he is afraid to sleep with her on the same bed. Later he goes and sleeps with her. Yoon Eun-Seong went to the gardener and bought the dog for 100 million from him.
The next day the dog owner came to Yoon Eun-Seong and returned the money and asked for the dog. He said it was a mistake he made at that time, he was not interested in selling it. Yoon Eun-Seong tries to shoot the dog but Baek Hyun Woo comes there and tells the dog owner to take the dog as they return the money. Chairman checks the CCTV footage, and he sees his son who was thrown out of their home back then came to the forest that day. Baek Hyun Woo and Hong Hae In’s father meets Hong Hae In’s uncle to ask about that incident. Apparently, he came to meet his father.
Yoon Eun-Seong calls Hong Hae In about the meeting he setup with Mr Herman. Baek Hyun Woo’s brother and sister went to the company to meet Hong Hae In to tell her to avoid divorce. But Hong Hae In was busy on going to meet Mr. Herman and have a small chat then left there. As the siblings couldn’t finish the sentence they messaged her about avoiding divorce. At the same time, Baek Hyun Woo calls them hearing they came there. Baek Hyun Woo told them that Hong Hae In doesn’t know about divorce.
Baek Hyun Woo gets worried and calls Hong Hae In. Baek Hyun Woo was informed that Hong Hae In is at the meeting with Mr. Herman and Yoon Eun-Seong. Yoon Eun-Seong saw Baek Hyun Woo calling Hong Hae In when she was in the washroom.

Yoon Eun-Seong cut the phone and switched off her mobile. Mr. Herman couldn’t come to the meeting as he had personal things. Yoon Eun-Seong tells her plans for the mall. Yoon Eun-Seong asks why she likes Baek Hyun Woo. Hong Hae In says Baek HyunWoo likes her very much and he won’t backstab her. They both drink alcohol and Hong Hae In gets drunk.
Baek Hyun Woo was worried about her and the message. Hong Hae In comes home in Yoon Eun-Seong’s car. Yoon Eun-Seong and Baek Hyun Woo have some quarrels about Hong Hae In getting drunk. After Yoon Eun-Seong gone from there Baek Hyun Woo looks for Hong Hae In’s phone. Hong Hae In shows the phone is with her. Baek Hyun Woo runs to her and throws the phone as it has messages. Hong Hae In thinks he is going to romance her, and she suddenly kisses him.
Overall the episode was a bit plain. They developed the Yoon Eun-Seong character more in the episode. After this episode, Yoon Eun-Seong might be more important to the story as he has some mysteries about him.
