Netflix’s Ozark Season 4 : Ozark season 4? Is it happening? Please let this be true. Well I’m sure that’s your reaction right now. Hello fellow Ozark fans !!!! How are you all? I know we all are desperately waiting for season 4 of Ozark and of course how season 3 ended up has built up the excitement for it to a whole new high level.
For those who don’t know about the show ( seriously what are you doing go and watch it) Ozark is a Netflix original that debuted in 2017. It follows in the same genre as Breaking bad i.e Crime drama. The reason why I mentioned breaking bad because the series draws several parallels from breaking bad, those who have seen it will completely agree from me.
Talking about the show it debuted in 2017 and got acclaimed for several reasons. Be it acting, direction, the screenplay you name it. The show achieved sky-high viewer ratings. People say that if you want to be the best you must be compared with the best and that’s the case with Ozark as it is being compared with breaking bad as often as the comparison between who is the better Ryan? Reynolds or Gosling? ( What do you think about this one ? ) .
The show has been nominated for several awards and garnered several accolades Making it one of the best Netflix originals in recent times ( still think Dark tops that list ).
Netflix’s Ozark Season 4 Coming Or Not?
Let’s be honest guys season 3 gave us some really good episodes and also Great amount of acting leading by Tom Pelphrey as Ben, I mean you would definitely agree that he stole the season in the latter half just from last 2 episodes ( especially that taxi scene and the jail scene ). And the way it ended has given us many options for a possible season 4 and the makers have various options to proceed. But seeing this pandemic there is a minor chance that the development and production for season 4 will begin anytime soon.
I have a solid case for this as well because they show’s protagonist and also the producer and sometimes director Jason Bateman confirmed it with an interview. He revealed some interesting insights into the production and what that means for season 4. He revealed that each episode takes around eleven days to film with two weeks beforehand to prep. In all, it’s around six months of production to film an entire season.

Perhaps most importantly, on April 3rd, Jason Bateman said: “There is not an official pickup for Season 4.” adding that “We’re all operating under the hope it will happen.” When asked about what’s in the store for season 4 Chris Mundy (the showrunner for Ozark) he said the following:
“Well, if we’re lucky enough to get a season 4, I think it will be about whether or not Ruth really can create something of her own that she wants and is sustainable, or if she wants something else. And I think it will be about if the Byrdes can they turn the biggest mistake of their lives into this huge advantage, and how much will karma catch up with them if they do?”
This certainly means that good things generally take time to get. And Ozark is no different.
Ozark Season 4 Release Date
Naturally, we are a long way off from seeing any news of season 4 or release date for Ozark. Regardless, we can still speculate on when we can expect to see the crime-drama return to Netflix. Thanks to the previous season release dates of Ozark there’s a large window of release which could see the series return as early as April 2021, or October 2021:
- Season 1: 21st July 2017
- Season 2: 31st August 2018
- Season 3: 27th March 2020
There were nineteen months between seasons 2 and 3, and with the current coronavirus pandemic, the production of a fourth season may have to be postponed, which means the release date could go even be pushed pack as far as early 2022.
Ozark Season 4 Possible Plot?
As we know, season 3 showed us a bunch of characters with their story so the showrunners will probably stick to that only and nurturing the further characters and their arcs
We had several moments like;
1. Marty disbanding the alliance with Kansas City Mob because Ruth got attacked by Mob Boss’ Son.
2. Darlene getting back in the heroin business.
3. Darlene making a case for Ruth and also forming an alliance with KC Mob.
4. Then we still have the FBI living in the Casino mapping every move of Marty.
5. The Navarro cartel pressuring to launder the money
6. Ben ( oh Ben ! ). This in my opinion should be a pivotal point in Wendy’s further journey because she has to live with what she did to her brother.
7. Of course that ending and that hug ( of death ?:-!:-P )
Now since there is no Helen in the case, maybe the byrdes have the Cartel’s trust and maybe they will have a bit more leniency or maybe more burden and fear? Who knows?

This was all about Netflix’s Ozark Season 4, As of now it is hard to say that the 4th season will be the last or not but you never know. I’m sure as hell excited for the new season and to watch the brilliance of Jason Bateman.
