The series showcases the lives of some well-known soldiers who fought against Nazis during World War II. This show is created by John Orloff and executive produced by Tom Hanks and Steven Spielberg along with a few other known people.

One of the most important characters in the show is Gale Cleven, portrayed by Austin Robert Butler. Austin is a well-known American actor. In the spring of 1943, Gale Cleven got shipped off to war. He is serving as a part of the 100th Bomb Group, a regiment that was soon called the “Bloody 100th” because of the casualties it suffered. Cleven often seen joking and enjoying with his favourite friend John Egan. Cleven have a beautiful girlfriend , whom he misses all the time when he go to combat missions.

Gale Cleven met up with Bucky Egan in England and during the days with him, John Egan gave the nickname Buck to Cleven, because John Egan didn’t like the name Gale. Cleven And Egan took part in the 100th’s first combat mission. The B-17 heavy bomber flew at high altitudes and was crewed by ten men, from pilots to gunners. On June 25th, the 100th lost three planes in their first raid, on the well-defended submarine pens at Bremen. Buck is a well disciplined charismatic and grounded man. He knows how to have fun, but he isn’t reckless, he is a strong soldier with unimaginable tricks.

Cleven was keen on the fight against Germany and the Nazis. World War II going on a brisk mode, cleven bravery is unmatchable. He is the most talented soldier in the 100th bomb group after John Egan. Cleven’s leadership and bravery were showcased when his plane was damaged during a mission, but he managed to land it safely and was rewarded for his heroic actions. At the age of 97 Clevan died at 17 November 2006.
