El Presidente Season 2: Football/Soccer call it whatever you want, you’ll agree that just the name of the sport sends the fans into a frenzy. Such is the craze of the sport that there are multiple documentaries, movies made on it, the players, etc. But like every other sport, football is also not controversy-free.
There have been several cases of conspiracy, corruption which are aware to us. Such a case was FIFA GATE which garnered so much attention by the world. Recently Amazon released a show called ‘El Presidente’ which follows the story of Sergio Jadue. Fans loved the series and want a season 2 of it… Will it come?

Plot
The show explores the real-life conspiracy underlying the beginning of the 2015 FIFA Gate corruption scandal. The series covers how this house of cards fell apart because of Sergio Jadue, an unknown B-league Chilean soccer club president. Jade becomes president of the Chilean National Soccer Association, brings Copa America to Chile for the first time and oversees Chile’s first-time victories in the 2015 Copa America and 2016 Copa America Centenario. Along the way, Jadue becomes an informant to FBI Agent Harris as part of the US government’s probe into global FIFA corruption.
Through Jadue’s exposure to the vast web of stakeholders that make up the global sport’s elite, including FIFA ‘godfather’ Julio Grondona and his deputy Luis Bedoya, they both participate in and ultimately reveal a conspiracy by which owners of distribution/marketing rights for high profile Latin American competitors used fraud, racketeering, and money laundering to conceal nearly $150MM in bribes that allegedly took from media distributors and sportswear companies.

What Can Be Expected of season 2
To be fair and completely honest, In season 1 we got to know about a much-talked scandal and story was completed therefore it Will be unnecessary to drag it further. What they can do is to make a season based on a different scandal. Since people are loving this season there is a high chance to cash the money in the bank by giving people what type of story they like.
El Presidente Season 2
Season 2 of the series is expected to releases in 2020, but Seeing this global pandemic it’s really hard to tell the release date of an unannounced show but we’ll keep you updated.
