What Is Zeeplex & Pay Per View: Remember the VoD services that were started by Tata Sky ( Showcase ) which enabled the users to order the latest movie which has been released and enjoy them sitting at home? Yes, how can you not? Now since there has been a lot of talk regarding the social distancing and not going in large gatherings and this being the main reason behind the shut theatres so as to avoid getting infected.
This resulted in movies going for an OTT release rather than waiting out for the theatres to open. Now Zee Entertainment has come up with ZeePlex which is this new model of OTT, entitled to give the audience a feel of theatres.
What happens is that the movies which release directly on ZeePlex which will be available as a channel in your DTH like Tata Sky or Videocon d2h or Airtel etc. You just have to order the movie, select your preferred time slot, pay for the movie, and enjoy it like a theatre. If the intention is to give a proper theatre feel don’t be surprised if you get an interval as well.
To gain popularity, ZeePlex will feature the upcoming flicks of Ishan Khatter – Khaali Peeli and Vijay Sethupathi’s – Ka Pae Ranasingam on October 2nd. What will be the price hasn’t been told as of yet but we’ll get some information regarding it soon? The Zeeplex would also be available on the Zee5 official app.
