Nayantara’s Mookuthi Amman: Ahh the COVID 19, what change in our lives it has brought. When only the niche films who were thought to be not getting any buyers used to release directly on an OTT platform, due to the shut theatres even the films of Superstars from all over India have been releasing on the OTT platform. For example Soorarai Pottru, Gulabo Sitabo, Laxmi Bomb, and many others.
Now there are some makers who are Keen to release their films when the theaters will open, but many of others have also made their mind after seeing the decent response of an Ott release that it is not a bad idea and they have also started approaching the Ott giants to get a decent deal out of their movie.
While many of the makers have approached for the same some deny of the incident too. But we see daily that some other film which was supposed to be released on theatres is now going to release on an OTT platform.
The latest entry in this is seeming to be the Lady superstar Nayanthara’s religious drama – Mookuthi Amman. The movie is said to be a social satire and was slated to release on May 2020. But due to shut theatres, the release was delayed indefinitely. But now after seeing other movies getting released, the makers are said to have approached by a big platform and the deal is also done. The official announcement for the movie is said to be made soon enough. The movie is jointly directed by RJ Balaji and NJ Saravanan. Nayanthara will be seen playing the goddess Aookuthi Amman. The movie might arrive in the month of October.
