If you have been an avid cinephile in the 90s and are up to date with your movies and also have good taste, one film that you cannot have missed is Clerks! The Clerks Duology are Indie films that garnered a lot more than they were made for.
For example, The first Clerks released in 1994, shot for only 28K came home with more than 3 Million Dollars which officially started the actor-comedian and directed Kevin Smith’s career. The second part of this duology did not release until 2006.
We’re talking about Clerks because after 2006, Kevil Smith announced the third part of this series titled “Clerks 3” and it’s going to be released this year which is also going to serve as a sequel to the previous two Clerks movies. The story revolves around Randal who after a fatal heart attack wants to make a movie with Dante about their lives. The film has been written, directed, and edited by Kevin Smith.
This film will be the 9th movie in Kevin Smith’s Movie Universe called View AsKevniverse which started in 1944 with the first Clerks movie. The movie stars the recurring characters from the Clerks movies which are Brian O’Halloran (The Flying Car, The Happening), Jeff Anderson (Love 101, Zack And Miri Make A Porno), Trevor Fehrman (Clerks Duology), Austin Zajur (The Fallout, Countdown), Jason Mewes (Scream 3, Dogma), Rosario Dawson (Side Streets, Sin City) and Kevin Smith (Clerks Duology).
The film is going to be released on September 13, 2022, worldwide.
