Famous franchise Gremlins director Joe Dante recently said that Baby Yoda is a completely stolen character from his movies, Dante said that Baby Yoda is copied from the Gremlins movies he made in 1984 and 1990. Baby Yoda is copied from The Gremlins Mogwai character called Gizmo.
Dante clearly used the word stolen and told the reporters in a video interview that The Mandalorian and Star Wars creators replicated Baby Yoda completely and shamelessly. Now due to these allegations, the audience and media are asking questions to the creator of The Mandalorian and a very famous director and actor Mr. Jon Favreau.
No official statement has come from him or the studios. However, everyone is expecting a proper answer from them and keen to see what they have to say.
The character Gizmo will be coming to screens again via HBO Max’s new animated series Gremlins: Secret Life Of The Mogwai. Joe Dante will be a consultant on this upcoming project.
