Yu Yu Hakusho Episode 3: Yu Yu Hakusho is a Japanese action-fantasy adventure TV series created by Akira Morii and Kazutaka Sakamoto for Netflix. It is a live-action adaptation of the 1990-94 manga series by Yoshihiro Togashi and produced by Robot Communications.

Episode 2 of this show ends with Kurama and Yusuke returning to the human world, Kazuma apologizing to Yusuke, Tarukane sending Yukina to him, and Hiei terminating his contract with Sakyo.

Episode 3 begins with the Yusuke as he seeks Hiei who is instructed by Koenma and Botan. Yusuke asks for the Shadow Sword and starts a fight with Hiei, who is faster than him. , Tarukane goes to Sakyo’s House on Kubikukuri Island, where he brings Yakina with him. Sakyo introduces Tarukane to two investors of their new club.

A battle between two Yokai, Younger Toguro, and another Yokai creature, ends with Younger Toguro killing the other Yokai. Sakyo asks for Yakina to be taken inside, but her cage is empty. Guards search for Yakina, but Elder Toguro catches them fleeing. The guard shoots at Elder Toguro, but he is killed in return. Elder Toguro takes Yakina back inside.

Tarukane admires Yakina’s ice tears and the rivalry between Hiei and Yusuke outside his mansion. Sakyo presents a Yokai battle for the Black Book Club’s entertainment. Yusuke is asked to train with Master Genkai, an ancient female fighter who helps fighters harness their spiritual energy.

Genkai agrees to train Yusuke, but Yusuke struggles to channel Spirit Energy. Genkai challenges Yusuke to show him his incompetence and encourages him to work hard on himself. Kazuma tries to break a stone using a wooden stick, and Butan praises his commitment to training, making Yusuke jealous. Genkai takes Yusuke inside for more practice.

Kurama helps Hiei find Yakina, while Sakyo connects the Underworld with the Human World. Younger Toguro tells Sakyo to go to the demon world. Yusuke trains with Genkai but struggles to channel Spirit Energy. Genkai is disappointed and informs Butan and Koenma.

One night, Yusuke sees Kazuma practicing with a wooden stick, determined to beat the evil Yokai and be more powerful than Yusuke. He manages to channel Spirit Energy, breaking a rock. This prompts Yusuke to try harder and use the Spirit Energy to stand upside down on his index finger. Genkai is impressed and teaches him to shoot the Spirit Gun with his finger.

Genkai sends Yusuke and Kazuma back to fight the Yokai, who return to Genkai’s shrine and recall their past romance. Genkai calls Younger Toguro a cheater for becoming a Yokai. Younger Toguro challenges Genkai to a fight. Meanwhile, Yusuke sees Hiei kidnapping Keiko, and Botan alerts Kazuma.

At the end of episode 3, we see that Yusuke fights Hiei to save Keiko, but Kurama stops them. Kurama reveals that Hiei was disguised as Hiei to instigate Yusuke and that Sakyo has kidnapped his fraternal twin sister, Yakina.

The trio decides to save the two girls by participating in the Dark Tournament Saga, a competition to find the most powerful Yokai group. Kazuma joins the trio and argues with Hiei as they take the boat to Sakyo’s island and the episode ends.
