Yu Yu Hakusho Episode 2: Yu Yu Hakusho is a Japanese action fantasy adventure streaming TV series created by Akira Morii and Kazutaka Sakamoto for Netflix. It is a live-action adaptation of the 1990-94 manga series by Yoshihiro Togashi, produced by Robot Communications, and stars Takumi Kitamura, Shuhei Uesugi, Jun Shison, and Kanata Hongo.

Episode 2 begins where episode 1 ends where we see that Goki steals the souls of little kids from the Orb of Baast, a valuable object Koenma seeks. Koenma helps Yusuke use his spirit energy to channel its power like a gun, but Yusuke struggles to demonstrate the move, angering him. Koenma reminds Yusuke to work quickly to find all three Yokai in the human world.

Where we see that Yusuke and Botan visit the kids in the hospital, and Yusuke is angered by the act and decides to attack the Yokai without fully preparing. Kazuma, visiting Kirino, is also at the hospital. On their way out, they encounter Kazuma, who can see Botan. Yusuke shares the truth about the Spirit World and the Yokai from the Demon World invading the Human World, but Botan drags him out, leaving Kazuma to think.

Botan and Yusuke investigate Goki’s motives and devise a plan to locate him. Yusuke visits Kieko’s ramen place and meets a boy whose life he saved. The boy is worried about his friends’ souls stolen from a nearby park. Yusuke learns about Goki’s location and chases after him. Goki leaves the Orb as bait and attacks Yusuke when he grabs it.

A little boy tries to help Yusuke, but Goki steals the boy’s soul. Yusuke jumps on Goki’s neck and uses the Spirit Gun to knock him out, causing Goki to die. The orb releases all the souls of the children he had collected, and Kurama sees what Yusuke has done.

Mr. Gonzo Tarukane kidnaps Yukina, a young Yokai, and tortures her to collect tears of ice. Tarukane sells the tear of ice at a high price, discussing a deal with Sakyo. Hiei, with the Shadow Sword, transforms into an E-Class demon and undergoes surgery to turn the hole into a Jagan.

Later, we see that Yusuke encounters Kurama, who is watching his fight with Goki. He follows Kurama to a hospital, where he sees his sick mother and learns that he is a yokai born as a hybrid human-yokai child. Kurama tells Yusuke that he was a yokai who entered a pregnant woman’s body years ago.

Kurama who had been taken care of by a woman asks Yusuke to use the Mirror of Darkness to save his mother’s life. Boston becomes emotional after hearing Kurama’s story and Yusuke rethinks his situation at the ramen shop. He realizes that it would be wrong to judge Kurama based on the world’s judgments but to trust his actions.

Botan rushes to the ramen shop, urging Yusuke to act quickly as it is a full moon night and Kurama will use the Mirror of Darkness that night. Yusuke encounters Kazuma, who tries to stop him from saving a Yokai’s life. However, Yusuke brushes him off and saves Kurama.

At the end of episode 2, we see that Kurama and Yusuke are brought back to the human world after a wish is granted. Kazuma apologizes to Yusuke and they end their enmity with a bowl of ramen. Tarukane agrees to send Yukina to him, and Hiei terminates his contract with Sakyo. Sakyo invites him to negotiate with him and the episode ends.
