Web Series & Tv Shows The Boys: The Boys has amazed us in every way possible with amazing new character introductions and great twists, keeping the gore, dark humor, and CGI intact, delivering a mostly hyped episode of this year probably “Herogasm”.

Now, after Season 3 has ended, what are you to do after you waited each Friday for the new episodes. So now, you just wait for the next season to come but when? Here are some shows like The Boys that will tickle your funny bones until the next season airs.

Misfits

Misfits are exactly what it means. It means people who should not be heroes, are and the show’s whole premise is based on that. With the original run of the series of 5 years, we have a show with 5 Seasons but being a British show, we only have like 7 or 8 episodes per season. This series has an amazing cast and you will see happy to see some and realize that you’ve already seen some of them and maybe one of them might give you Game Of Thrones nostalgia.

Powers

The show is about a homicide detective who had his powers seized played by none other than Sharito Copley which should be enough for you to binge-watch it right now. It tells about crime investigations by Sharlto Copley involving Superheroes. The series has 2 seasons and 10 episodes with a runtime of 60 Minutes. Fun fact, the series original network is Playstation Network! Again, with an amazing cast, the series makes up for a good watch in the Superhero genre with not so much optimism.

 The Watchmen

Long before The Boys went on the floor or you could see Watchmen were there and if made up for so many brilliant superhero films that we did not think we wanted. Watchmen is not new to the game though. The movie released in 2009 directed by Zack Snyder is one of the cult superhero movies out there that need to be watched.

It is dark and amazing to watch and is also based on the Comic Book series, specifically DC Comics.

The Umbrella Academy

This should not come off as a shock or you might have already watched it since it also released during the seasonal run of The Boys but this is noteworthy for being a bit slow but damn interesting to watch. The series has also completed its 3rd run recently but not like The Boys, its episodes were dropped all at once, which is Netflix’s MO. The series gets dark and comic and it’s really fun.

"I'm just a humble cinephile with a knack for stringing words together. My reviews may not be as fancy as "The Grand Budapest Hotel" but they'll give you a good idea of whether a movie is worth the ticket price. I may not be a "Casablanca" of criticism, but I'll always give you my honest opinion. So join me on this journey of cinematic discovery, it's sure to be "One for the Ages."
