I Still remember the 8th March 2022, when The Kashmir Files was about to release, Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri, the director of the film was requesting the cinema hall owners to give little space to the film and he request that ‘Please Give it Time’, it will work, even after that, The film got only 400 screens throughout India.
A day before release i.e on 10th March 2022, while replying to the tweet, the director of the film Said that ‘He was not invited to the Kapil Sharma Show, because there was no big name in the film’ and here everything changes, the film starts getting support from the Twitter users and Boycott Kapil Sharma starts trending on Twitter. This was not the first time that ‘Boycott’ was trending on Twitter, so everyone thought this is just a matter of one day and everything will be forgotten by the users.
But things were different this time, The film collected around 3.25 Crores on the Day 1 with all shows going Housefull, the film released only on 400 screens and at that time no one has ever thought that the film will do collections of around 25 crores on the Day 9 and will break the record of Bahubali 2 , Dangal and other biggies. In 10 Days, the film has collected around 165 crores on the Indian box office only, The total collections in overseas is around 20 crores, so the final collection of the film is around 185 Crores to date ( till 20th March 2022)
