The Apology Movie 2022 Summary Ending Explained: The Apology is a 2022 American thriller film directed and written by Alison Locke, The movie follows Darlene (Played By Anna Gunn) mother of Sally (Holland Bailey) who’s been missing for 20 Years and she’s celebrating Christmas after 20 Years at a home with her friend Gretchen (Janeane Garofalo) who lives next to her home. Gretchen now goes to her home, The weather is very snowy outside, so no one can hear anything.
Darlene now remembers about her daughter Sally and is going to drink vodka, but now someone knocks on her door, Darlene can’t hear anything, so that stranger rings the bell, and it’s Jack (Linus Roache) Brother-in-law off Darlene, Jack’s car has crashed due to bad weather, so Jack wants to stay the night in Darlene’s home.
Then we got to know that Darlene and Jack had an affair 19 Years ago, but Jack leaves her and his own family, Jack comes to give his family a surprise, so he didn’t want Darlene to inform anyone that he was here.
Jack now asks Darlene what she will do if she finds the man or woman who kidnapped or Killed her daughter Sally. Darlene says that she doesn’t have any revenge Fantasy she’s just gonna ask why and how and where.

What happened to Sally?
Jack Revealed that the day she went missing, Jack saw her, so Jack went to her and asked why she was upset, She was very upset due to her mother’s behavior because Darlene at that time was very alcoholic. Sally asks Jack to give her a ride in his truck, so Jack suggests going to The Lake.
Jack then lay off the blanket in the grass and they sit and start talking about Darlene, Sally was very worried about Darlene because she saw her in the bathroom in the morning, she start crying, so Jack hugged her and they start kissing and in the heat of the moment they also do sex but after some time, sally start screaming and Jack can’t control himself, so he starts chocking her neck and it’s got broken. Sally died 20 Years ago in that Lake. Jack buried the body in that grass.
Why Jack Never Got Caught?
Jack never got caught because he has some strong witnesses who mistakenly save him. His friend Peter says that when sally went missing Jack was with him, Peter didn’t lie but Jack was with him before that day. It’s also Police’s mistake they investigate Jack a week after the crime.
What Happened To Jack?
There are a lot of things that happen, when Jack confesses about his crime, Darlene shoots him and Jack tries to Kill Darlene but her friend Gretchen comes and saves her after hearing the Gun Sound. Jack asks Darlene after he tells the truth she should shoot him. Then Jack tells the truth again and after hearing the truth, Darlene goes to kill him but she stops. We got to know that Darlene is recording the whole thing in Sally’s Tape Recorder and the movie ends with Police Siren.

Why didn’t Darlene kill Jack?
If someone does something to your family, you’re definitely going to kill him, but Darlene didn’t kill Jack and handed him to the police Why? Jack was regretting what happened that day, and that’s why he confessed to Darlene.
