The Recruit Ending Explained: Netflix original web series The Recruit was released on Netflix on 17th December 2022, the show was having a great buzz due to the amazing star cast and the show received a great response as well, Now here we are going to answer the few questions which were left unanswered in the show, we will also try to explain the ending of the show too.

Summary
The plot of the show starts with Owen Hendricks Join the CIA, On the first day of his Job itself, he was sent Senate by his Commander, and he solves a small quarry there, on the Day 1 itself he got some new enemies in the office jealous of his work.
The next day Owen Hendricks was given a Huge file graymail that was written to blackmail the agency and Owen Hendricks has to study those files and detect which was false and which ones is true, While reading those files, He came to know about a blackmailer ‘Max Meladze’ who was in Prison for a 3rd Degree Murder and now she was threatening to expose the sensitive CIA documents and the news about Missions to the news agency.

When he starts the further investigation about the letter, he was advised to go to Yemen by his officemates Lester and Violet, Without following the Porper Protocol and gathering any Information, he took the flight to Yemen, and there he got trashed and Brutally beaten by ‘Dawn Gilbane’ (CIA Agent in Yemen) his own mate for not following the Protocol.
Even after the terrible start of the Investigation, He starts again and now he came to know that Max was a CIA asset in Belarus, Now he Plans to meet, Max, and there Max tells him that they both need each other. After the meeting, Owen goes to Vienna and where he meets Xander Goi who confirms that Max was the CIA agent and she has much sensitive information and he needs to stop her from leaking that information.
When Owen was returning from Vienna he was attacked by Assassins and then Max Guide him to the Phone and somehow Owen gets out from there, Owen Meets Max again, and here happens a deal between Owen and Max, Owen would get Max out of the prison, and Max will not leak the documents, on the other hand, Owen gets close to Amelia and Amelia Gives him some important and Crucial Information that is going to help Owen to get Max out of Prison.
With the Contacts and Management, Owen Manages to transfer the case from Judiciary to Federal Court, on the other hand, Owen manages to wipe out the single eyewitness of Max’s Case, and finally, Max got Bail from Jail and she was out of Prison now. Owen thought that his work is over buts destiny has something else for him.
Now ‘Dawn Gilbane’ (CIA Agent In Yemen) Plans to recruit Max Meladze Again and they took Max Meladze to a safe house, where Max Manages to get rid of the CIA officers and flies away from there.

Now Max asks to get Owen back to her case and she also asks for Help she confirms that after she finishes her work she will again Join the CIA, She asks ‘Owen Hendricks’ to come to Geneva and Help her, Owen and Max Meets in the Hotel and there She Kills a Goon sent by Krill, a Local Gangster. During the deal, some mishap happened, and to save himself and Max from Goons he Shoots two Good to dead, and from there he got disturbed, Max tries to console him but he decided to leave the CIA, Max Informs Dawn Gilbane that Owen wants to quit the Job and he could be the threat to them and thus they Plan to Kill him.
The Ending
While Max was waiting for Dawn Gilbane, She Got Kidnapped by some unknown Goons and the Other Hand, and Owen also got Kidnapped, When the frame opens Max was shocked to see that it was her ‘Karolina’ who Kidnapped them, Before Max says anything Karolina shots Max and then she moves towards Owen and asks him what he is doing with her Mother? and the season 1 of the series ends here.

Why Did Karolina Kill Her Mother?
Now the biggest question is Why Karolina Kills her Mother, Although there is no direct connection between the Killing of Max and Karolina, There are some theories that might be the reason behind the Killing of Karolina.
As we know, Max Kills her Husband when Karolina was Small and there may be a possibility that Karolina was attached to her Father and, that Incident She hates her mother and from there she was looking for to Kill her, and Now she asks Owen, Just to know if he also has any link related to her Father’s Death.
Coming to the second Theory, There may be a chance that Karolina is working for Krill of some other Agencies and she has orders to Kill Max.
What Happened To Owen?
Another burning question at the end of the show is what Happened to Owen Now?, So there is no clear evidence that what happen to him, we need to wait for season 2 of the show to get things Clear.
