Queen of Tears Episode 4 Recap and Explained: Netflix released a Korean romantic comedy series “Queen of Tears” in sixteen episodes. Hong Hae-In is an heir to the Queen’s empire and Baek Hyun-Woo is a normal worker in the Queen’s company who comes from a middle-class family in a village. Hong Hae-In and Baek Hyun-Woo fall in love at the workplace without Baek Hyun-Woo knowing Hong Hae-In’s real identity.
After their marriage love, they start hating each other. When the time came, Baek Hyun Woo tried to talk about the divorce to Hong Hae In. But Hong Hae In told him she had an illness and she lived only 3 months. Baek Hyun Woo starts showing affection to her so that before she dies she will write her will to him.
Episode 4 opens with Hong Hae In drunken and Baek Hyun Woo trying to get the phone to delete the text his sister sent to her. Hong Hae In goes to her room, and Baek Hyun Woo follows her to get the phone. While Hong Hae In went to the washroom, Baek Hyun Woo tried to unlock her phone. Baek Hyun Woo tried many passcodes using their birthday and wedding dates none matched. Finally, he used the 1031 code and it worked. Baek Hyun Woo unlocked the phone and deleted the message.

Hong Hae In came back and saw Baek Hyun Woo there. Hong Hae In thought he was trying to romance and out of caring. Baek Hyun Woo told her that he couldn’t sleep that’s why came here. But Baek Hyun Woo finds a way to leave the room. Baek Hyun Woo thinks about the passcode she out her phone, it was the date that was given by the doctor for their baby’s birth. But the delivery failed. We can see a flashback of them arranging a room for welcoming their baby.
Baek Hyun Woo’s mother scolds Baek Hyun Woo’s sister and brother for meeting Hong Hae In and sending a message about divorce. we see a flashback of Baek Hyun Woo’s mother with Hong Hae In’s mother on the wedding day. Baek Hyun Woo’s mother tells her that her son is a good guy he married Hong Hae In by thinking that she was from a poor family, not a rich girl. But Hong Hae In’s mother tells her that he is a great guy that’s why he made a rich girl fall for him.
Baek Hyun Woo watches Hong Hae In falling on the escalator. Baek Hyun Woo shouts to her to watch the stairs. When Hong Hae In looked out they shouted that Baek Hyun Woo was hidden inside a shoe shop. when the shopkeeper saw it, Baek Hyun Woo bought a random white shoe which is 50% off on sale. Baek Hyun Woo gifted the shoe to her telling them that if she used this she wouldn’t slip.

Yoon Eun-Seong comes to the mall to meet Hong Hae In. Hong Hae In wears the shoe gifted by Baek Hyun Woo and goes with Yoon Eun-Seong to meet Mr. Herman. Before entering Mr. Herman’s room Yoon Eun-Seong tells her the secret about Herman that he has a mistress and she has a brand too and Mr. Herman’s wife doesn’t know about her. When they talked to Mr. Herman Hong Hae In told him she would give only one floor and used his mistress’s name and he said okay to the deal. At the lift Hong Hae In thanked Yoon Eun-Seong for risking his relationship with Mr. Herman for her.
Hong Hae In calls Baek Hyun Woo and says she has good news. When Baek Hyun Woo came, Hong Hae In showed him the research report from one of the best cancer centres in Europe saying there was a 51% chance of curing her disease. Yoon Eun-Seong comes home to meet Hong Hae In to talk about the Hercyna plans. Baek Hyun Woo gets jealous of them and starts watching them inside the house. Hong Hae In’s mother plans on getting Hong Hae In and Yoon Eun-Seong together back again. Yoon Eun-Seong plans to take over the Queen’s empire by making a scandal about the chairman.
Chairman’s son comes to the company to apologise to him and make father take him back to the family. But the chairman denies it and goes away. A customer makes a scene asking refund for the product at the mall. The sales tried to make things okay but the guy tried to hit her, Hong Hae In came and saved the girl. Hong Hae In warned him to leave else she would put a complaint against him and take legal action.

Baek Hyun Woo’s father is running for village head election again. This time he doesn’t have many supporters. Baek Hyun Woo’s sister texts HongHae In to come to their village to make some influence. Hong Hae In came there with a lot of trucks and gave gifts and food to the villagers. Baek Hyun Woo’s mother called Baek Hyun Woo about asking Hong Hae In’s arrival.
At the end of the episode, Baek Hyun Woo comes to the village. Hong Hae In takes the music player from Baek Hyun Woo’s room and walks out. suddenly she gets illusions and gets illness side effects. Baek Hyun Woo calls and searches her all over the village. Finally, Baek Hyun Woo saw her in a stranded place. Hong Hae In cries saying she didn’t remember anything and hugs Baek Hyun Woo. Apparently, the music player was Hong Hae In when they were in school.
Overall the episode was really good. Compared to other episodes this was a really good watch.
