Queen of Tears Episode 12 Recap: Netflix presents “Queen of Tears” from the creator of “Crash Landing on You” in sixteen episodes. Hong Hae In and Baek Hyun Woo got married but their married life was not going well. When Baek Hyun Woo decided to get a divorce, Hong Hae In told him that she had a brain tumour. After that, Baek Hyun Woo started to attach to Hong Hae In and started caring for Hong Hae In again.
As Hong Hae In loses their company to Yoon Eun Seong, they start living with Baek Hyun Woo at his house. How they regain their company and how Hong Hae In fights this disease at the same time loves Baek Hyun Woo is the story of this series.
Episode 12 started with a flashback of Hong Hae In with Baek Hyun Woo checking the CCTV footage from the storage facility. Hong Hae In told Baek Hyun Woo that she saw the same truck in her house when only her grandfather was there. They are guessing the money may have been inside the house. After coming out of the storage office, Baek Hyun Woo went to pick up the car, at that time Yoon Eun Seong came there and invited Hong Hae In to the car. Hong Hae In thought it was Baek Hyun Woo as she had an illness she couldn’t differentiate if it was Baek Hyun Woo or not.

Baek Hyun Woo saw them going in the car and followed them and stopped the car. Then Hong Hae In found out that it was Yoon Eun Seong who was with her. Hong Hae In lies to Baek Hyun Woo about her delusion and goes with Yoon Eun Seong to meet their grandfather. Yoon Eun Seong allowed Hong Hae In to see their grandfather, Hong Hae In gave her a pen given by his grandfather to him to record when he gets back his memories about the slush fund. Yoon Eun Seong invites Hong Hae In to eat with him.
Yoon Eun Seong calls the land dealer guy to kill Baek Hyun Woo. Baek Hyun Woo was caught in a stranded place, before the guy was going to kill him, Baek Hyun Woo told him to tell Yoon Eun Seong that he will him and ask for the money. If Yoon Eun Seong gives money kill him, if not he is scamming the guy too. Yoon Eun Seong switched off the phone after the deal, and the guy didn’t kill Baek Hyun Woo. After when Hong Hae In went outside, Baek Hyun Woo came and picked her up. Yoon Eun Seong found Baek Hyun Woo entered the compound took Hong Hae In away in CCTV and got angry.
Baek Hyun Woo shows his new flat to Hong Hae In. Baek Hyun Woo used to stay here after his divorce. It’s a small room and Hong Hae In asks him if he was happy here after the divorce. They both have some talking about what Baek Hyun Woo will do after Hong Hae In’s death. They both sleep there that day. Cheon Da Hye is with her kid in her flat. Cheon Da Hye’s real husband comes there to ask for the money. He is a rude guy and Cheon Da Hye fears and hates him. He doesn’t like the kid too even though it’s his kid.
Cheon Da Hye shows him the money in the bag and says she was unable to take all the money when she came here. But he doesn’t care and beats her, then Cheon Da Hye tells him it’s in the bank and she will give him tomorrow. Cheon Da Hye gave him sleep pills mixed with drinks and left the room while he was sleeping.

Cheon Da Hye went to Baek Hyun Woo’s house to meet Hong Soo Cheol. She said an apology to everyone for what she did. Hong Soo Cheol accepted her back as his wife. Baek Hyun Woo bought a ring and gifted it to Hong Hae In and asked her to withdraw the divorce papers. But Hong Hae In said she won’t do it as she won’t live any longer.
The chairman got his memories back and he has been spitting the pills they are giving. He knows she doesn’t have rights if he dies, so the chairman goes to the staircase and falls from above. Chairman sacrificed his life for his family, and also he recorded a voice for Hong Hae In. As the chairman died the rights got turned back to the Queen’s family.
They all did a farewell ceremony for grandfather. After that the family went inside the lift inside the house, they saw a rotating switch and pressed it. The lift went below the last floor. As the door opened they saw something big there even though didn’t show what was there.

Overall the episode had a great turning point with the chairman’s death and the rights were turned back to the Queen’s family. Upcoming episodes will be interesting as the final episodes are coming.
