In Season 2, Reacher is contacted by a former member of his defunct MP unit from New York City, who is murdered under mysterious circumstances. In this season, we see that Swan is a high-value employee at New Age and stands alongside Shane, providing a potential connection. Shane may have tried to expose a scandal with the help of the 110th, but it backfired, leading to Shane targeting Swan and his friends.
Where we see that Reacher observes an altercation between the 110th and hired goons but is killed by a cardiac arrest. He discovers that the man was an employee of New Age Technologies, and Reacher suspects that the situation was a setup, and the attackers knew the team would search for Saropian.
Later, when he notices the same black sedan parked outside Swan’s house, he decides to confront the mysterious dude. Reacher manages to activate the sedan’s airbag system by kicking the grill and then beats the living hell out of the dude. Russo questions Reacher and O’Donnell, leading to a verbal battle.
