Gordon Liddy was a former FBI agent and American lawyer. He was the chief operative in the Watergate Scandal. Working with Hunt, he burglarized the Watergate office in 1972. After this burglary, an investigation took place, and Nixon resigned. Liddy confessed his role and later served approximately 52 months in jail.

Let’s now take a look at Liddy’s personal life. He was born on November 30th, 1930, in Brooklyn. His father was a lawyer. Liddy completed his graduation from Fordham University and then joined the US Army. He served as an officer in the artillery department during the Korean War. After graduating in 1957, he joined the FBI. He married Frances Purcell-Liddy, who was a teacher, and they have five children: Jim, Tom, Grace, Alexandra, and Raymond.

After his release from prison, Liddy joined the forces and later started his own talk show. He enjoyed a peaceful life until he passed away on March 30, 2021, at the age of 90 from Parkinson’s disease.
