Citadel Series Budget Is Huge: Cast, Release Date & More

Citadel Amazon Prime Video: After directing one of the largest films for Netflix, Russo Brothers are set to direct yet another big-budget project for Amazon Prime Video, The project, a TV show, is created on a humongous budget of $250 million, preceding ‘’Amazon’s Lord of the Rings: Rings of Power’’ show as the second highest budget TV show.

However, one of the most significant contributors to its budget was a creative overhaul, which prompted many of its creative writers to leave the project. Consequently, the reshoots due to creative differences inflated the budget of the show by almost $75 million.

The series involves a huge cast including Priyanka Chopra Jonas (one of the most renowned Indian actresses), Richard Madden (famed for ‘’Game Of Thrones’’ and Marvel’s ‘’Eternals’’), Stanley Tucci, and Caoilinn Springall. Moreover, the TV show is co-produced by Russo Brothers themselves along with Patrick Moran. This show is currently titled ‘Citadel’.

Although having a concealed plot, the show is reported to be a Sci-Fi spy thriller, which is quite evident from the images leaked during production. As revealed by Joe Russo, the show comprises a cross-cultural story, followed by many regional spin-offs succeeding its release.

The director cited his plans for regional spin-off shows, starting with Italian series followed by an Indian and a Mexican. Moreover, the Indian spin-off is planned to star some big Indian names like Varun Dhawan and Samantha Ruth Prabhu. The show is also planned to be a Raj and DK directorial (famed for “The Family Man Show”).

‘’Citadel’’ has currently wrapped production and is in the post-production stage with some reshoots under process. An announcement regarding its release date is expected to land soon
