Butterfly Movie Review: Hotstar’s’s original Crime thriller film Butterfly was released a few hours back on Hotstar, the film skipped the theatrical release and goes for the direct OTT release, I just finished the film, and here goes the detailed review of the film.
The film is around 100 Minutes long and it is available to watch on Hotstar in Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam audio versions along with subtitles, The film stars Anupama Parameswaran in the main lead roles, along with Nihal Kodhaty and Bhumika Chawla in a crucial role, The film also stars Rao Ramesh, Praveen and other. The film is directed and created by Ghanta Satish Babu and banked by Ravi Prakash Bodapati, Prasad Tiruvalluri, and others.
The story of the film revolves around Geetha (Played by Anupama Parameswaran), who is a Chartered Accountant, and she lives with her sister Vyjayanthi who is a famous criminal Lawyer, (Played by Bhumika Chawla) along with two children of Vyjayanthi. One day when Vyajanthi was not in town, the two children got kidnapped, and the Kidnapper asks for 15 Lakhs from Geetha, Now how will Geetha save those innocent Kids from Kidnapper? The performances are the Key in the film, Anupama Parameswaran looks brilliant and she is the core and soul of the film, she was so good in the last 30 Minutes of the film and she will keep you hooked with her performance, She was pretty good during the fight sequences in the climax of the film. Bhumika looks good in her small yet Impactful role, she was good to watch in the film. The rest of the other characters were decent and good to watch too.
Review: The Boy, The Mole, The Fox, And The Horse Review
The story of the film is slightly predictable but the biggest issue with the film is its Screenplay, it is super dull and lacks thrill, the film looks good in the initial 30 Minutes but after that, it becomes predictable and repetitive and irritating sometimes, The story looks old and thus looks dull and lacks thrill.
The music of the film is average and the film lacks that strong BGM, the Locations were decent and special mention of the fight sequences at the end of the film, they look real and authentic.
I am going with 2 Out of 5 stars for the film, The film is an average Crime thriller film that lacks thrill itself, The story looks similar to many past films, It is only Anupama who makes the film slightly watchable. You can watch the film on Hotstar if you are a fan of Anupama, Rest I will advise you to skip the film.
