Baki Season 2: (The Great Raitai Tournament Saga) Netflix has added one more stock in their anime release of 2020. This time they have renewed Baki for a fresh season. Baki is based on the manga series – Gurappurā Baki ( in Japanese )written and illustrated by Keisuke Itagaki. The story follows teenager Baki Hanma as he trains and tests his fighting skills against a variety of different opponents in deadly, no rules hand-to-hand combat.

The first season on Netflix was based on the earlier adventures of Baki who is the son of one of the strongest beings in existence. Baki Hanma is raised by his wealthy mother, Emi Akezawa, who also funds his training in the hopes that he can be a powerful warrior like his father, Yujiro Hanma.

Around the start of the series, Baki outgrows traditional training and heads out to follow the path of his ruthless father’s training and meets many powerful fighters along the way. Eventually, Baki fights his father and is beaten without a challenge.
The series saw some of the most unbelievably dangerous fights in the history of the anime medium.

Baki Season 2 Trailer

Netflix released the trailer for season 2 and titled it as “Baki : The Great Raitai Tournament Saga”. It is available on YouTube. In the trailer we see that Baki is in a tournament where all the participants fight for there life. If you want to fight you must win and if you want to win you must kill the other person. The prestigious tournament is said to be held after 100 years.

Baki Season 2 Plot

Season Two is clearly starting from where the previous season left off which saw Baki and his friends taking on a number of escaped convicts, who proved themselves to be far more terrifying than the combatants had originally thought. While each criminal was strong in their own right, their willingness to cheat and “fight dirty” made them such difficult opponents to take down for the fighters that have proved themselves time and time again in the franchise! The original synopsis released by Netflix with the trailer says;

” Entering a fighting tournament held once every 100 years, Baki gives his all to fight back from the brink of death!! “

Netflix has also posted a detail for the season which is:-

” Granted special entry into the great Raitai Tournament , a poisoned Baki now faces fighters in China , where the next true Sea Emperor will be chosen “.

You might have got the idea of how violent this season is going to be. We are in for a treat as one thing is guaranteed which is brilliant fight scenes.

Baki Season 2 Release Date

The much-loved series now back with another season, the Baki Season 2 is going to release on Netflix from 4th June 2020, along with English Subtitles.
