Amy Winehouse was an English songwriter and singer based in London England. She gave many blockbuster songs in her short career.
The news of her biopic is now confirmed. It is now said that the biopic will be directed by Fifty Shades Of Grey fame Sam Taylor-Johnson. Along with Fifty Shades Of Grey, Sam also directed Love You More, Gypsy, Nowhere Boy, Solos, and A Million Little Pieces.
The life of Amy Winehouse was full of controversies. Amy was addicted to heavy drugs and too much drinking. In her last years, doctors had told her that she will die if she will continue taking the drugs.
Amy was also arrested and penalized a few times for violence and drug issues. She was arrested many times for assaults on his fans and even on his fiance.
Amy Winehouse was suffering from Emphysema and was declared dead due to his mental and physical illness on 23rd July 2011.
The biopic will be titled “Back to Black” which was also the name of her famous song. The script is written by Matt Greenhalgh. The biopic will focus mostly on her musical career and her journey toward success.
It would be interesting to see how the makers will showcase her in her biopic. Whether they will justify her taking drugs and alcohol or they will show her how actually she was!
