Tuesdays and Fridays Movie Review: Bollywood movies which released in cinema a few months back are not started coming to OTTs, First Roohi and now the Film titled ‘ T&F i.e Tuesday & Fridays is now released on Netflix, I didn’t get the chance to watch the film in theatres, so I just finished the movie on Netflix and here in the post I am going to review the film.
The movie stars New talents like Anmol Thakeria Dhillon and Jhataleka Malhotra in the main lead roles, the movie is directed by Taranverr Singh, the movie is approx 100 minutes long and is now available on Netflix platform in Hindi audio along with the English subtitles. Let’s Jump to the review of the film.
Plot
The Plot of the film was very much clear from the trailer itself, the movie is about Varun Sarin (Anmol Thakeria Dhillon) is a hotshot writer whose new book is a bestseller, and Sia (Jhataleka Malhotra) is an upcoming lawyer. Sia is helping Varun in his new book’s rights acquired by a company. One day Sia goes to London because it’s her mother’s 50th birthday. There is a cafe, she meets Varun and now they both decided to meet only on Tuesday and Friday. It’s a new concept for a story and a dating calendar, Would this turn into love or they would be just like another couple, what happened next, to know this you have to watch the full movie on Netflix.
Performances
Sorry to say but I didn’t like the male lead Anmol Thakeria Dhillon at all, he is just below average and is the weakest point of the film, his dialogue delivery, Expression, attitude everything was just below average and this was one of those poorest performances which I saw these days rarely, the female lead from the film is decent and she has done decent work in the film, she is good with her expressions and dialogue delivery, she looks cute and hot both at the same time, the rest of the co-actors from the film were decent while few were below average, overall the film has nothing to offer in terms of performances and acting of the cast.
Analysis
Tuesdays and Fridays as by name you can guess there is something related to these days and in movie main cast plan to meet only on Tuesday and Friday for a date. The plot sounds unique and interesting initially but the still movie lacks because of poor writing and bad performance by the main lead actor. The movie is only 90 minutes in length but still feels long and dull, The screenplay of the film is open and there is nothing interesting or thrilling in the film, the film is just like a normal love story with very poor performances. The locations from the film were decent and these were the only plus point of the film apart from a decent performance by the female lead.
Overall
I am going with 2 out of 5 stars for the film, the film has nothing to offer except some funny scenes and good locations, I would suggest you avoid the film and look for other better options like Ajeeb Daastaans on Netflix. The movie is approx 90 minutes long and available in Hindi audio with subtitles on Netflix.
