The Missing Stone Review (Mx Player): Everything Is Missing

The Missing Stone

The Missing Stone Review (Mx Player): After Aashram I was having lots of expectations from the original series The Missing Stone as it stars Barun Sobti in crucial roles, the series is now released on Mx Player and here in the post we are going to review the series.

The series is of 5 episode long and series stars Barun Sobti, Bidita Bag, Rashi Mal, Saqib Ayub and other in the main lead and crucial roles, the web series is directed by Vishal Furia and Alok Naik, let’s jump to the review.

What Is It About?

The plot of the series was all clear from the trailer itself, the plot of the series revolves mainly around three peoples Dhwani (Bidita Bag), Payal (Rashi Mal), and Sahir (Barun Sobti). On the birthday of Dhwani, she was expecting a surprise from her sister Payal at a resort but she was not there, the surprise turns into a shocking event when her sister Payal goes missing, what was the reason behind this? and where had she gone? to know this you have to watch the full series on Mx Player.

Performances

Barun Sobti is decent in his role, I was really surprised by him in the series, he tried all his best and still, he fails to make an impact, Bidita is average as Dhawani and the Same is with Rashi (who is playing Payal), There are lots of scenes where they act like some amateur actors and none of them impresses you at all, only Varun Sobti has few scenes where he charm like a boss for few frames.

Screenplay & Others

The biggest issue with the series is its screenplay, they tried all their best to create a master class thriller but they failed badly, the screenplay is very poor and the series doesn’t thrill you at all, there are few scenes where it would shock you, but that was enough to make the series amazing, the editing was also poor, the makers tried all their best to keep the story short, but the way the story is narrated it was disappointing. The locations were good and they look natural, the music is another plus point of the series.

Overall

I am going with 1.5 out of 5 stars for the series, Everything Is Missing from the series, there is no thrill, no suspense and there is not even a single reason to watch this series, still, you can prefer it over Pandemic Coolie No. 1, the series is of 5 episodes and all episodes are streaming for free on Mx Player.
