The series starts at the same time as it ends, and the text card shows Ten seconds after Schmigadoon, Josh and Melissa are now living happily married and are doing doctoring, but the couple is trying to have a baby.
Despite all things going bad for the couple, the neighbors also think that Melissa is with a baby but she is not, and we came to know that their current IVF cycle is also not successful so the couple decided to go back to Schmigadoon, But this plan for also not successful for them as they roam aimlessly and didn’t find anything, as they are returning back their tire got punctured, however, they soon realizes that this is not Schmigadoon anymore. This is Schmigadoon, and they met Tituss Burgess there who is also our narrator.
So now the narrator tells us that the couple was not able to find Schmigadoon so now they are looking for a place to spend the night in Schmigadoon.
They find a local hotel there and the hotel manager asked them if they want a girl to join them the couple says no, however, they also found that their room is not perfect for them there is a massive crack in the ceiling and is leaking, then they met Betsy who asks them to see her performance in the club and she really did an amazing performance.
Then walks in the owner Mr. Octavius Kratt in club who basically owns everything in the town, and he knew that the couples are new there, after their pretty awkward interaction and he says to Melissa that she has potential and he wanted to add her to his portfolio, and he exists to do some more drugs.

After the performance, Josh goes to find a washroom, and Melissa is looking for her husband at the party, but in search of a washroom Josh encounters a murder scene he is a doctor by profession so he wants to help but gets his hand filled with blood now, and was spotted by another dancer, who after seeing him screams and ran off from there.
So now the couple is charged with murder and police is wanted by the police, as they are running but soon the authorities found them and Josh is arrested for the murder of Elsie Vale, and police also found a gun in their car, and we see Josh was taken away by the police leaving Melissa alone and the episode ends.
