Royalteen Princess Margrethe Review: The latest Netflix teen drama is back with its second part. The almost 1.3-hour-long movie follows the story of Princess Margrethe going through stress and anxiety due to a bad incident that happened to her at the prom party.

Directed by Ingvild Søderlind, the movie stars Ines Høysæter Asserson, Elli Rhiannon Müller Osborne, and Mathias Storhøi in the lead roles. Written by Marta Huglen Revheim, the movie is rated TV-MA for language and some scenes.

The story is about Margrethe, who is stressed after taking drugs and collapsing at the party. The guy whom she has taken drugs with is blackmailing her by showing her the video he took while she was snorting cocaine. She fears that the video might get leaked. On the other hand, her friend Ingrid is also forcing her to take the next step in her relationship with Alexandra. She is very stressed by all this mess, and on the other hand, she is also dealing with some family drama.

The performances by all the star cast are average, and no one stands out in terms of performance. The end of the movie is not so promising as Gustav, who plays a negative character, doesn’t get any punishment or consequences for what he has done. The tracks played in the movie are horrible, as they all seem like they are just repeating one thing again and again. The kissing scenes at the end don’t feel like a complete end as the audience will not completely feel the emotion behind the scene. They will feel like they failed to connect with the characters.

There are some positive things about the movie, such as the short run time. The movie doesn’t stay in one scene for very long, and there are also not long conversations that feel boring after some time. The movie avoids all this. Another thing is the shooting locations. The locations are so good that you will not take your eyes off the scene. The movie failed to give you a story, but it gives you a visual treat.

Rating: 1.5/5
