Paramapadham Vilayattu Review: Finally after lots of postponements and delays the movie is here and it released as a direct OTT release on Disney Plus Hotstar for its VIP members, I just finished the movie and here in the post i am going to review the film, i would be also talking about the Good and bad aspects of the film.
The movie stars Trisha Krishnan in the main lead role as Doctor Gayathri, the movie also stars Nandha Dorairaj as Arjun Richard Rishi in crucial roles, the movie is written and directed by K. Thiruganam, the movie is approx 140 minutes long and now available to stream on Hotstar in Tamil and Telugu audio along with the subtitles. Let’s jump to the review of the film.
The story of the movie was cleared very much from the trailer itself, the movie revolves around A lady doctor Gayathri who was assigned to treat the critical leader of the state who is going to be the upcoming chief minister of the state, with Political conspiracies to kill the leader, Gayathri found herself trapped with Dark Politics and conspiracies and this lead to the threat on her own life and on her daughter’s life. How would Gayathri overcome this, can she able to expose the hands behind the conspiracies, to know this you have to watch the full movie on Disney Plus Hotstar VIP.
The only good thing about the film is some amazing performances, Trisha is killing as always and she looks amazing in the role of the doctor and a fighter mother, she fits perfectly in each frame and in each expression, it was a treat to see Trisha in the climax. Nandha Durairaj was equally brilliant with his role, he looks promising and he gets better with each passing frame, although in the beginning, you may find his character a little dull later he made that perfect.
Richard Rishi was also good in his role and his performance was one of the key highlights of the film, I personally liked the performance by that little who was playing the role of Trisha’s daughter, She was just a stunner and the way she had played her character without uttering a single dialogue is just amazing and incredible.
The plot of the movie is very predictable, although I am not going to reveal any spoilers most of you can easily predict the film after 60-70 minutes, the movie goes very slow and dull in the middle and it lost it charm there, the screenplay is also very weak and it doesn’t hold you to your seats, the editing fo the film was also poor and the runtime of the film was very long, the movie may be turned out to be brilliant if the makers finished it under 90 minutes. The locations of the film are good and they give a realistic feel, the BGM of the film was average and there is nothing special in it.
