Mrs. Undercover Review:: Zee5 is now back with yet another direct-to-OTT release. Thrillers are a new trend nowadays, and Zee5’s newly released original film, Mrs. Undercover, falls under the same genre. The film is directed by Anushree Mehta and stars Radhika Apte as Durga, Sumeet Vyas as the “Common Man,” Rajesh Sharma as the STF Chief, and Laboni Sarkar and Saheb Chattopadhyay as the main lead roles.

The plot of the film revolves around Durga, played by Radhika Apte, who was a spy agent in the past but is now a settled housewife. When the Bengal Police fail to catch a dangerous serial killer who is killing independent women, the STF assigns the case to Durga. The film is all about how she will handle the case and whether she will be able to solve it.

Coming to the review of the film, the film is a joke in the name of a thriller. The film is clueless and lacks logic almost everywhere. There is forced comedy in the film that never makes sense. The writing, cinematography, and all other departments are at a new low. There is a sequence where Durga’s son touches an electric wire, and the lady beside him gets him away with her bare hands. This lacks logic. Rajesh Sharma, as the STF chief, is roaming all around the city as a golgappa seller, sweeper, priest, and sometimes as a newspaper seller.

The whole STF is investigating the case, but they never go through the small details like the victim’s last call, last locations, CCTVs, and many such small details. The film looks like a joke, and the same goes for the performance of the actors.

Sumit Vyas tries his best to look scary, but he fails. This is the worst performance of Radhika to date, and the same goes for Rajesh Sharma. The film is an absolute waste of talent, time, and resources.

I am going with 1 out of 5 stars for the film. Stay away from the film as it has nothing to offer in the name of a thriller. The film is around 90 minutes long and now available to watch on Zee in Hindi audio with subtitles.
