Story

The story is crime thriller drama from the Kolkata’s city Lalbazaar, at the beginning of the series, police found a dead body of a prostitute and some remains of Human Intestine in the Pond while investigating these things, lots of twists and turn happens that gives the case a new angle, goons and don from the city got involved into the case and the proofs of the case is getting erased, the police lags behind with the killers in every aspect, would police able to solve this case with their own families on the radar of goons or just they would leave the case, to know this you have to watch full 10 episodes series on Zee5.

Performances

There are no mainstream actors in the series, all are regional Bengali actors and you can’t expect that level acting from them, although everyone tries their best, I liked the Ronjini Chakraborty as Farzana, you have seen her in lots of Hindi movies like Simmba, Tumbad and more, she steals the show, she is just amazing in the role of a se3 worker. Other lead actors like Kaushik Sen and Harishita Bhatt is good and up to the mark, don’t go with much expectations from the performances, otherwise, You would be disappointed.

Screenplay & Editing

After watching Betaal, I always think that web series can be made in super fast speed without wasting times in Se3 scenes and other activities like songs and fights, I have the same complaint with the makers of this series too, first 3 episodes are super quick and the story runs very fast and after that, it goes slow and it remains slow till last, The screenplay is well made, there are lots of bold and abusive scenes in the series, that would keep the young audiences on their chairs, in the middle of the episodes, the screenplay seems weak and it looks like the story is going somewhere else, well that can be ignored.

Overall

We are going with 3.5 stars out of 5 for the series, the series is bold and it would be loved the special audiences, it is not the full family show, never ever watch with the family, the series is bold and gripping and you are surely going to love it, don’t expect much from the acting performances, and yeah like every series, there is a huge story left for another season.
