The movie revolves around Emily Benetto who is broke and full of debt and gets involved in a big credit card scam. After getting involved in this mess, she has to face the criminal underworld of the city of Los Angeles.
The movie stars Aubrey Plaza as Emily Benetto while Theo Rosi, Megalyn Echikunwoke, Gina Gershon, Brandon Sklenar, Jonathan Avigdori, and Bernardo Badillo are playing the lead and supporting roles of this movie.
In 2021, The responsibility to direct Emily The Criminal was given to the writer and director John Patton Ford. By the end of August 2021, the lead cast of this movie was announced. Emily The Criminal is also produced by Aubrey Plaza herself along with Drew Sykes and Tyler Davidson.
The movie holds more than 90% score on Rotten Tomatoes which is incredible and received mostly positive reviews from the critics and audience.
