Dunki Day 13 Advance Booking: SRK’s film Dunki was released on 21st December and seems to be doing well since then. It is a Hindi-language Indian comedy-drama movie based on “Donkey Flights,” termed as Dunki in Punjabi, that shows how people cross borders through illegal immigration techniques.
Even the film title’s meaning is ‘to hop from one place to another.’ This method of crossing borders via illegal means has gained popularity in Indian states like Punjab, Gujarat, and Haryana.
Dunki is directed by Rajkumar Hirani under the banner of Jio Studios & Red Chillies Entertainment. Shah Rukh Khan has done the lead role in the film along with other cast members Taapsee Pannu, Boman Irani, and Vicky Kaushal, who had a special appearance in the film.
The film has received support from both major and small cities. A huge contribution to the box office collection was seen from places like Chennai, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, and Tripura.
This film has been written by Rajkumar Hirani along with Abhijat Joshi & Kanika Dhillon. The cinematography has been done by C. K. Muraleedharan. The overall performance of Dunki witnessed a decline in recent days as the Christmas eve was over along with the weekend holidays. Also, the film faced a box office clash with the rebel star Prabhas’ film Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire. Dunki has a total runtime of 2 hr 40 mins with a budget of Rs.130Cr.
In this, Shah Rukh Khan has acted as Hardayal “Hardy” Sukhdev Singh Dhillon, Taapsee Pannu as Manu Randhawa, Boman Irani as Gulati, and Vicky Kaushal has given a special appearance as Sukhi Mangal. No doubt that the phenomenal performance delivered by the cast has taken the movie to better heights. SRK has already given 2 blockbusters like Pathaan and Jawan recently; even this movie seems to be adding up to the list.
