Seven Women And A Murder Ending Explained: Seven Women and A Murder, an Italian Murder Mystery Film has been released on Netflix recently. Directed by Alessandro Genovesi, the film is a woman-centric story about a murder during Christmas Time when all the women of the family gather and the patriarch, Marcello ends up dead.

What Happens later is the dissection of each of the woman’s ulterior motives giving us a classic whodunit. If you’re curious about the ending of the film as to who killed Marcello, you’re at the right place because we have a couple theories about the whole shebang.

Who Kills Marcello? – How Did Marcello Die?

Theory 1

The film the end tells us that whatever we saw right up until that moment is a plan devised by Marcello and Caterina, his youngest daughter to find out who loves him dearly and how will they react after hearing the news of his death because that will give him clarity in deciding his will. Caterina also tells everyone that his father has been exhausted and the women of this house are the reason for that.

Marcello, who has been hearing everything happening in the house is saddened once more after no one expresses grief after seeing him get murdered and everyone’s nicely enjoying their food cooked by Maria and even finds out that his wife Margherita and Veronica, his first love are having an affair with the same person, Mr. Giannutri who is also his new business associate.

A betrayed Marcello wouldn’t have been able to take this and hopelessly jumped from the window to kill himself.

Theory 2

As mentioned earlier that everything turns out to be a plan devised by Caterina and Marcello to hear from inside the room if his family shows any grief or not so that’d give him clarity in deciding his will. When the women come to know about this plan, they are furious and march straight to his room knocking furiously.
