Wild Dog Netflix Review: I was waiting for the movie since the trailer release of the film, I can’t go to cinema halls due to the pandemic restriction, Thanks to Netflix, they released it on their platform today, Nagarjuna starrer Wild Dog is now available on Netflix and I just finished the movie, here in the post I am going to review the film.

The movie stars some great actors of the town like Nagarjuna, Dia Mirza, and Super talented Saiyami Kher in main lead roles, the movie also stars Atul Kulkarni, Avijeet Dutt, Ali Reza and others in crucial roles, the movie is directed by Ahishor Solomon and produced by S. Niranjan Reddy. The movie is approx 130 minutes long and now available on Netflix in Tamil, Telugu, and Kannada audio along with the subtitles.

Plot

The plot of the film is based on a true story, the movie revolves around the story of A terrorist group that has blasted a bomb in John’s bakery. Police failed to find any clue in this case. Later authorities decide to transfer this case to the N.I.A. (National Investigation Agency). Vijay Verma (Nagarjuna Akkineni) leads the team to find the terrorist. Vijay was famous by his name Wild dog. Can they catch the terrorist or he will succeed in escaping?. What Happened Next? to know this you have to watch the full movie on Netflix.

Performances

The movie is a perfect example that, how a poor script can destroy even talented actors, the movie is absolute dull in terms of performances, If you have watched Don no. 1 or Meri Jung one-man army you will know that Nagarjuna carries a swag in his acting but honestly this time his swag is missing I am really missing that Nagarjuna in this movie. Dia Mirza is similarly average and she struggles a lot, Atul Kulkarni and Saiyami Kher were a little decent and they are the best performer in the movie, I was having huge expectations from the led pair of the film, but sadly, it was a huge dissappointment.

Analysis

As we had already mentioned, Wild dog movie is based on the real story of the bomb blasts that happened in mid of the 2000s in India. In the movie, they show that Vijay doesn’t work with N.I.A. now and in the movie, they didn’t show why he stop working as an agent. Even though the movie is based on terrorism so it has both emotional and patriotic feelings but the movie fails to connect us with the story.

In none of the scenes, I feel emotion and goosebumps. Dialogues are the backbone of stories like these but there is not even one dialogue that gave me goosebump. The screenplay of the movie is fast which is also the reason of less emotional. The benefit of the fast screenplay is you don’t feel bored but there is nothing new in this movie. Regular terrorist average drama.

  • Name Of The Film: Wild Dog
  • Release Date On OTT: 22nd April 2021
  • Platform: Netflix
  • Rating: 1.5/5
  • Did I Liked It?: No
  • Recommended?: No

Overall

I am going with 1.5 out of 5 stars for the film, the film has nothing to offer and the movie is the same old terror drama which executed very poorly, with average performances, the movie has nothing to showcase, better to Skip it! but if you fan of Nagarjuna and want to watch the film, you can check it on Netflix.
