Tulsa King Season 1 Episode 5 Recap

Dwight’s younger brother Joey dies in Episode 4 and to attend his funeral, Dwight goes to New York where his family will be present and also, his daughter Tina with whom he has been trying to connect. The Episode starts off with Dwight going to the funeral and meeting his sister but then he and Tina look at each other but do not do anything until their next meeting during a dinner in a fancy restaurant booked by Dwight.

Tina doesn’t feel comfortable with Dwight there and gets up in between and leaves after saying that this is not about Uncle Joey but Dwight’s attempt to show off.

The two do have a conversation in Tina’s flower shop but that doesn’t end up nicely. On the other hand, In Tulsa, everything is going haywire when Armand gets to know about Black Macadam and what they really are after his employee at the ranch informs him that Black Macadam is not something to be messed with.

Gang members of Black Macadam influence the police to take action against the members who beat his gang members during the Parking Lot fight and the cops take Tyson hostage. When he’s released, he is not given his phone and the money back saying that he didn’t have anything with him when he came in.

Black Macadam members take Bodhi hostage and the leader gets him to confess about Dwight and leaves him with the cops who take him to Mitch’s bar.

Black Macadam has taken this seriously and they will be coming back harder and Dwight not there just weakens the whole gang and when he’s going to be back, there’s definitely going to be some clash.

Why Did Dwight Kill Nico?

After Dwight goes to Tina’s flower shop to talk their initial conversation in the restaurant doesn’t go well, Tina and Dwight talk and while Tina doesn’t like Dwight, she has some love left for him and tells him that he wasn’t there. She tells him that he didn’t even leave the family anything when he went to prison and the only time someone would come is Nico who was called Nico “The Package”.

She starts telling him about this one night when her mother was doing a night shift and Nico had come and maybe sexually harassed her but this was a traumatizing experience for Tina and she hesitated to tell this to Dwight.

Dwight was furious after hearing that the family he went to prison for had been treating his family like that and he first goes to Pete and confronts him if he knew about that or not and then goes straight to the club and beats up Nico for doing that to his daughter, ultimately stomping his foot on his skull killing him.

My reviews may not be as fancy as "The Grand Budapest Hotel" but they'll give you a good idea of whether a movie is worth the ticket price. I may not be a "Casablanca" of criticism, but I'll always give you my honest opinion. So join me on this journey of cinematic discovery, it's sure to be "One for the Ages."
