Thambi was a thriller film with minimum action and VFX uses , the movie was made on the low budget of around 17 Crores. The movie was produced by Viacom 18 Motion Pictures. The exact box office collection figures of the movie is still unknown but with such low budget it was so easy for the movie to recover its making cost. The movie was overall hit at the box office , if we add all the revenues of the movie like digital,TV and music rights.

Along with the Karthi, thambi also stars Jyothika, Sathyaraj,Nikhila Vimal, Anson Paul and many more , the movie was produced by Viacom Motion Pictures and directed by  Jeetu Joshep , Music of the movie is composed by Govind.
