It’s raining remakes in Tollywood. Pawan Kalyan whose recent two films were remakes scored big numbers at the box office. Vakeel Saab starring Shruti Hassan, Nivetha Thomas, Anjali was an official Telugu remake of the Hindi hit film Pink which starred Amitabh Bachan and Tapsee Pannu. Pawan Kalyan reprised the role of Amitabh Bachchan.
Recent release Bheemla Nayak also is a remake of the Malayalam film Ayyappanum Koshiyum. The original starred Prithviraj and Bejo Menon in lead roles and the remake had Pawan Kalyan and Rana Daggubati in lead roles. The film also had Nithya Menon and Samyukta Menon.
Now after these two remakes it looks like Pawan Kalyan is keen on doing more remakes. Pawan Kalyan is apparently doing the remake of the Tamil Film Vinodhaya Sitham which was directly released on Zee5. Alongside Pawan Kalyan, Sai Dharam Tej is going to be a part of this film. Sai Sharam Tej’s last release was Republic. Though it failed to score box office numbers after releasing digitally it got a good response. This remake would be Tej’s first film after his injury.
Another remake Pawan Kalyan is keen on doing is Thalapathy Vijay’s blockbuster There which was already dubbed into Telugu as Polisodu. Sahoo director Sujeeth is in talks to helm this auspicious project.
Barring remakes on the work front Pawan Kalyan has been shooting for his next action period drama Hari Hara Veera Mallu. It Co-stars Nidhi Agarwal. It is being directed by Krish Jagarlamudi and the budget of the movie is around 150 crores. Pawan Kalyan also signed Harish Shankar’s Bhagadeeyudu Bhagat Singh. But since the film was announced there has been nothing updated about the movie. Rumors are THAT Pooja Hegde has been signed as the leading lady.
Well it seems like Pawan Kalyan has pushed Bhagadeeyudu Bhagat Singh more forward and is keen to do remake of Vinodhaya Sitham which would complete in just 20 says.
