Gehraiyaan Review: I was waiting for the film since its announcement and now the big day is here, the film is now available to watch on Amazon Prime Video in Hindi version, here I am going to tell you about the story, Performances and the other aspects of the film.
The film is directed by Shakun Batra and produced by Karan Johar’s Dharma Production, the movie stars Deepika Padukone, Ananya Pandey, Sidhant Chaturvedi, and Dahirya in the main lead roles, the film also stars Nasrudin Shah and Rajat Kapoor in the crucial roles. The film was earlier slated for the theatrical release, but later makers decided to release it on OTT due to censorship issues. Let’s jump to the review of the film.
The plot of the film revolves around Alisha, Tia, Zain, and Karan. Alisha and Karan are in a relationship, and on the other hand, Tia and Zain are in a relationship. Everything is not going well in Alisha’s life and then during a trip, Zain and Alisha met each other and there they fall in love with each other. They were having secret affair behind Karan and Tia and then things turn very ugly. Sidhant Chaturvedi is Star and he keeps doing that again and again, he nailed it here again and without a doubt, he is the best performer in the film, His dialogue delivery and expressions were too good, his intense make this film more awesome. Deepika was so good in her last film and here in this film she looks good too, she never fails to surprise us with amazing acting skills and in this film, she was too good during the emotional sequences, I liked the chemistry between both of them during the steamy sequances.
Dhairya Karwa looks good too in his role, he looks real and his dialogue delivery was pretty good, Ananya Pandey still needs to improve a lot, she was struggling the beginning but slowly she get into her role and during the last 30 minutes of the film, she was amazing and I guess it was one of her best till date. Rajat Arora was excellent as the business partner of Zain and Nasruddin Shah was good in his role too.
I liked the story very much, there may be conflicts about the climax but the story was very good for me, Shakun has done an amazing job as writer and director, the film is around 150 minutes long and it never bores you, the screenplay was brilliant and the editing was good too. The locations were amazing and the music and soundtrack and already ruling the charts.
Mahaan Review: Childish, Unreal and Illogical
The only issue with the film is, it struggles in the middle and it looks like makers are trying to make it long, the story and few characters of the film are predictable and you can the few events in the film after half of the film.
I am going with 3.5 out of 5 stars for the film, The film is a must-watch and if you love the film on complex relationships this film is for you, I will suggest you watch the film. The film is available on Amazon Prime Video in Hindi audio Please don’t watch it with family and Kids as it is not a family-friendly film.
