Chad McKnight in “Obliterated”: Obliterated is an action-dramed streaming television series created by Jon Hurwitz, Hayden Schlossberg, and Josh Heald, starring Nick Zano and Shelley Hennig. It premiered on Netflix on November 30, 2023, with eight episodes.

The series follows an elite joint-special operations team from the U.S. Armed Forces and intelligence services as they stop a terrorist network from blowing up Las Vegas. They discover a fake nuclear bomb and must fight through intoxication to find the real one to save the day.

Obliterated is a show that follows a CIA elite tactical unit of top agents who are tasked with perilous missions. The unit consists of eccentric characters, including Ava Winters, who leads the operation, and Chad McKnight, who is the brawns in the nuke-neutralizing, world-saving operation.

Chad McKnight, a single mother, is a mother he adores and shares a close bond with. They are brash and macho, enjoying Sylvester Stallone movies together. Ava Winters, who sees the stereotypical aspects of Chad’s personality, surprises her when she learns about his warmer side during a world-saving mission. Chad’s warmth and the tactics he uses are revealed during their time together, revealing their shared interests and similarities.

Chad is known for his hyper-patriotic American jingoism and his love for Bruce Springsteen’s Born in the USA. He is also referred to as a “commie” by a Russian arms dealer, referring to terrorists and arms dealers who are not communists. Chad is also unaware of his friend Trunks’ sexuality, despite spending most of his time with him. The show explores themes of friendship, loyalty, and the complexities of navigating complex situations.

Nick Zano stars as Chad McKnight, a Navy SEAL leader in Netflix’s Obliterated. He often clashes with Ava Winters and is the object of multiple women’s affections. Zano is known for his roles in CW Arrowverse, DC’s Legends of Tomorrow, What I Like About You, Melrose Place, Happy Endings, 90210, and 2 Broke Girls.
