Bollywood Movies That Might Release On OTT Directly: This COVID lockdown situation has made life miserable for many, all over the world, almost every sector is facing huge losses and the entertainment sector is one of them, Bollywood industry is facing major loss due to lock down and closure of cinema halls, due to this many movies and producers are thinking of going directly on OTT release, here in the post we are going to tell you the list of the Hindi movies that may go for direct release in coming days on streaming platforms like Amazon Prime Video, Hotstar, Netflix and Zee5.
A few days back a media report erupt that Akshay Kumar starer Laxmi Bomb which was set for release on EID 2020, might get direct ott release, in another report, it was said that Gulabo Sitabo movie director Sujith said that they may also go for direct ott release, and there are lot’s of movies in the list, so here goes the list.
1. Laxmi Bomb
The biggest and the movie with a huge star cast that may get its direct digital release on OTT is Akshay Kumar starer Laxmi Bomb, there are talks going to with the producers and the Hotstar owners for the price, the movie may get a release on Hotstar from 22nd May 2020 as per some media sources, still, there is no official confirmation.
2. Coolie No. 1
Varun Dhawan and Sara Ali Khan starer comedy movie might also get a release on ott directly, the movie was earlier set to release in cinema from May 2020, but now due to lockdown issues, the makers may go with a direct digital release on OTT. The is movie directed by David Dhawan.
3. Gulabo Sitabo
The director of the movie Shoojit Sircar hints that they are open for direct release if they get a good amount, Ayushman Khurana and Amitabh Bacchan starer was all set to release in cinema halls from 18th April 2020, but due to the lockdown, the movie is still unreleased, there are high chances that movie may get released on OTT Directly.
4. Gunjan Saxena
Jhanvi Kapoor starer a Kargil war movie based on the life a women pilot, produced by Karan Johar also might get the direct release on streaming platforms, the movie was earlier set to release in cinema halls from 24th April 2020. The movie also stars Angad Bedi alongside Jhanvi Kapoor.
5. Chhalaang
Hansal Mehta directed movie chhallang is getting postponed, again and again, earlier it was to release in Jan. 2020, then it shifted to March 2020 now shifted to June 2020 and it looks like makers have to shift this movie again or the movie might get direct ott release, the movie star Rajkumar Rao, Nusrat Baruch, and Saurabh Shukla.
6. LUDO
Ludo is a big-budget movie having a huge star cast still there are chances that movie might get direct ott release if makers got the profitable amount by streaming platforms, directed by Anurag Basu and produced by Bhushan Kumar, the movie stars Abhishek Bachan, Aditya Roy Kapoor, Raj Kumar Rao, Fatima Sana Sheikh and Pankaj Tripathi in lead roles.
7. Jhund
Starring Amitabh Bacchan in the main lead role, Jhund is an upcoming sports-based drama film based on the life of Vijay Barse, there are high chances that movie gets direct ott release in June 2020, the movie also stars Rinku Rajgur and Akash Thosar, the movie was earlier stated to release in cinema halls from 8th May 2020.
8. Khaali Peeli
Starring two young actors from Bollywood, Ananya Pandey and Ishan Khattar, Kahli Peeli is an upcoming Action Romantic drama movie directed by Ali Abbas Jaffar, the movie was set to release on 12th June 2020, but if we look at the situation nowadays it looks difficult for the movie to get the cinema release, the makers might go for direct OTT release.
9. MIMIÂ
Starring Kriti Sanon and Pankaj Tripathi, the MIMI is very low budget movie that is set to release in July 2020, but even if this lockdown get over and cinema hall opens, there are fewer chances that it get a release as there are lots of big movies like Sooryavanshi, 83 and Radhe is already on the cards, chances are very high the movie go to ott for direct release.
10. Indoo Ki Jawani
Starring Kiara Advani and Aditya Seal, Indu ki Jawani might go for direct ott release, the movie is a coming age comedy produced by Bhushan Kumar, the movie might get direct ott release as it may fail to get a screen in cinema halls when halls get open, so, it would be a wise idea to have direct ott release for this movie.
11. Roohi Afzana
The movie stars Rajkumar Rao, Varun Sharma, Pankaj Tripathi, and Jahnavi Kapoor, the movie is a dark comedy thriller like Stree, Jahnvi Kapoor would be seen playing a double role in the movie, the movie was earlier set to release in April 2020, but now looking at the situation direct OTT release would be a better option for the movie.
