Aashram (Web Series) Mx Player:Â Mx player is back again with a spicy web television series which will also mark the comeback of Bobby Deol who will be playing the lead role in the series. The show is directed by the acclaimed director Prakash Jha who has also written the series. Prakash is known for films like Gangaajal.
The show Aashram is based on the real-life case of Dera Sacha Sauda’s self-proclaimed Godman who is currently in jail for various charges – Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh. Bobby will play the role of Baba Nirala and the show will focus on how these Godman are actually conman and have their roots and beliefs on them of lower society. Plot
The show focuses on a fictional town of Kashipur where Baba Nirala has formed his empire. He believes in god and asks his followers to believe in it too. But some people doubt him as he asks for money and wealth from his followers. He is a Messiah for the people and helps them. But a sudden case of skeletons and disappearance of girls at an alarming rate raises the questions to Baba Nirala and his organization.
The police are after him for the search of the truth of cases such as child trafficking, money laundering, corruption, fraud, etc .which definitely looks very dark. A girl whom Baba helped recently gets stuck in his organization after getting much faith in him and realizing that the outer world is just a mask for what is actually inside.
Cast
The web series also stars Bobby Deol in the lead with Aaditi Pohankar (Undekhi Fame), Chandan Roy Sanyal, Darshan Kumaar as Police Cop, Anupria Goenka, Adhyayan Suman, Tridha Choudhury, Vikram Kochhar, Tushar Pandey in supporting roles. The series also stars Sachin Shroff, Anuritta Jha, Rajeev Siddhartha, Parinitaa Seth, Tanmay Ranjan, Preeti Sood, Jahangir Khan, Kanupriya Gupta and Navdeep Tomar in crucial roles.

Release Date
The show is scheduled to release on 28th August on Mx player, the web series would release in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu audio along with the English Subtitles.
