Tom Schlefski in Netflix’s “Sleeping Dog”: Schlefski is an investigator who is taking a close look at the KDD 49th precinct and Corinna Steck. He is also Andergast’s love interest.
Schlefski is a complex and morally ambiguous character. He is driven by a sense of justice, but he is also willing to bend the rules in order to get what he wants. He is also attracted to Andergast, but he is aware of the risks involved in getting involved with her.
As we find in the series, he’s investigating the Herries murder secretly because before his death, he felt something wrong in the system and asked him for help, but he didn’t manage to find anything. Later, he was killed, and the evidence didn’t add up, so he took matters into his own hands and started looking for answers.
Although it doesn’t end well for him in the series, he pushes Jule and provides enough intel for her to crack the case and punish those responsible for his death.
Helgi Schmid plays Tom Schlefski. Schmid is best known for his role as Daniel Winter on the crime drama series Professor T. He has also appeared in multiple roles on the crime drama series Tatort and as Baumi in the comedy One Night Off.
