Once upon a time, it was 1972 and in the month of March a film was released that was supposed to be a mafia flick but instead turned out to be histories one of the greatest films ever made. I am talking about none other than “The Godfather” which needs no introduction. The film excelled in everything you would see, let it be the cast, the screenplay, the direction, music, and the cinematography.

With a cast as strong as a metal rod, the film went out to win 3 Oscars that year and got nominated for 8. This is a film that set the trend at that time and is still loved by the people, let it be critics or the audience. It’s shown in film institutes for aspiring actors and directors as the film has reached the epitome of popularity.

What if I told you that a TV Series that tells the story of how this film got made, all the obstacles this film faced to get produced and released has been going on while you remain unknown to it? YES! The biographical drama miniseries titled “The Offer” by Paramount+ has completed it’s Season 1 recently.

This comes after the show garnered highly positive reviews from the people, with Miles Teller (The Spectacular Now, War Dogs) playing Al Ruddy, the producer of The Godfather along with Juno Temple (Ted Lasso), Matthew Goode (A Discovery Of Witches, Leap Year). The series scored an IMDB rating of 8.7 and can be streamed on Paramount+ & Voot.

"I'm just a humble cinephile with a knack for stringing words together. My reviews may not be as fancy as "The Grand Budapest Hotel" but they'll give you a good idea of whether a movie is worth the ticket price. I may not be a "Casablanca" of criticism, but I'll always give you my honest opinion. So join me on this journey of cinematic discovery, it's sure to be "One for the Ages."
