The Mill (2023) Review: Lil Rel Howery stars in Hulu’s original film ‘The Mill,’ which is now streaming on Hulu. The film has a runtime of around 100 minutes and is available to watch in English audio. It is suitable for viewing with family and kids. I just finished watching the film, and here is a detailed review.

The film is created by Sean King O’Grady and features Lil Rel Howery in the lead role. The story revolves around Joe, played by Lil Rel Howery, who works at a company called Mellard. One day, he finds himself in a prison-like structure with fully closed gates. Initially, he doesn’t understand how he got there, but later, he discovers that his own company, Mellard, placed him there for performance enhancement. Joe is given a daily task to complete, and if he fails, he will be killed. How will Joe escape from this situation, and what is it all about? To find out, you need to watch the full movie on Hulu.

The film’s story starts off well in the beginning and keeps you hooked. However, a few minutes later, it becomes predictable, and many of you will guess what is coming in the film. The screenplay is decent but lags after the first half of the film. The music is good, and the same goes for the set design. The locations appear realistic, and the VFX is also well-executed.

When it comes to performances, Lil Rel Howery has done a phenomenal job as the main and only actor in the film. He fully embodies the character throughout the film, making it watchable. The rest of the supporting cast and crew also deliver decent performances.

I am giving the film 2 out of 5 stars. While the film starts well, it turns out to be a predictable thriller. The performance by Lil Rel Howery is the saving grace of the film. What are your thoughts on the film? Please let us know in the comments.
