The Gone Game Season 2 Review: Voot has finally released the much-awaited and acclaimed series from the times of lockdown today and here we will be talking about how it has turned out to be. The cast of the S2 includes the same cast as Season 1 including Shriya Pilgaonkar, Shweta Tripathi, Arjun Mathur, Dibyendu Bhattacharya, Sanjay Kapoor including Harleen Sethi joining the cast.

Gone Game S2 starts with a gunshot but who was shot remains a mystery. News Media are talking about the huge 30 Million scam and Suhani has been bailed after she has been convicted previously in S1 in the murder charge of Sahil Gujral and she challenged in front of the media that she will expose Sahil that he is alive in the next three days.

Gujral’s family is now in Mumbai to find out about Sahil Gujral and still believes Sahil is killed. Harleen Sethi has joined the cast of the series and she is playing the role of a CBI officer investigating the scam and mystery of Sahil Gujral.

Suhani met Gujral Family requesting them to believe her and suddenly that night she got shot. Who is behind it? Who among the Gujrals killed her or is it someone from outside. For all this, you have to watch the 5 episode series in Voot Select

The S2 is now much bigger and it’s no longer a series that was once shot with phones at the homes of the actor. Now the budget is big with real locations and actors interacting live with each other and not through group calls. Though they have tried to maintain the covid situation of when the series is started in 2020.

I felt it somehow forced as they are shown just wearing masks, and spraying sanitizers throughout and media headlines in the background, few passersby wearing masks on road and covid checks in busses. They could have shown a little more realistic approach to it.

Season 2 focuses more on the family dynamics this time and was shown what they have not made much clear previously about the relationship differences between Sahil and Suhani, Suhani’s dual life one in front of her followers on social media and her real-life outside it, The Scam that Sahil has committed and how he planned and executed it

The performance of the actors is decent. Shriya Pilgaonkar is good in her role as well as Shweta Tripathi. But still, you may not be able to connect with them emotionally which i guess is due to bad character development. Harleen Sethi was decent in her role as a CBI officer.

The Gone Game Review The Gone Game Ending Explained

The overall cinematography of the series is somehow decent but a few scenes do have very bad graphics like scenes of blood. Anyone can easily guess it’s done by CGI, BGM is also nothing new. It was the same as that of Season 1.

After watching Season 1 I liked it very much and was waiting for Season 2 as lots of things are not revealed in S1. The Season 2 of the series is not at all a good series from my viewpoint. They could have done much better than following the same old family whodunit thriller. I am going with 2 stars out of 5.

Rating – 2.5/5
