Queen of Tears Episode 5 Recap and Explained: Netflix presents “Queen of Tears” a sixteen episodic Korean romantic drama from the creator of the popular drama “Crash Landing on You”. The story revolves around a married couple Hong Hae In and Baek Hyun Woo. As Hong Hae In is from a rich family the relationship between Hong Hae In and Baek Hyun Woo was not going well. Baek Hyun Woo loved Hong Hae In without knowing she was from a rich family.
The doctor tells Hong Hae In that she won’t live more than 3 months as she has Cloud Cytoma disease. Baek Hyun Woo who got to know about her illness starts showing love in order to get a share from Hong Hae In and also make her leave his life. But as time passes he starts getting emotional over Hong Hae In.
Episode 5 started with Baek Hyun Woo saving Hong Hae In as she got lost due to her illness. Hong Hae In was very terrified. Baek Hyun Woo takes her on a cycle. The rain is falling as they go. They both sat near the tree. Baek Hyun Woo’s whole family came there looking for Hong Hae In. They were worried about where she had gone that night. They all went home, and Baek Hyun Woo gave his hair dryer to her. They have some moments with each other inside the room.

Hong Soo-Cheol shows his mother the viral video of Hong Hae In eating every kind of food that was served by Baek Hyun Woo’s family. Mother gets jealous and asks when did she start eating like this. Baek Hyun Woo put a band-aid on the wounds of Hong Hae In. As they get too attached they start to kiss. But suddenly Baek Hyun Woo ran out of the room, he started asking his inner self what was on his mind when he went to kiss her. Baek Hyun Woo went out and started chatting with his brother.
Hong Hae In starts to ask questions herself about why Baek Hyun Woo went out all of a sudden. As time passed Baek Hyun Woo still didn’t return back. Baek Hyun Woo was drinking with his brother telling he couldn’t go back to the room again. Hong Hae In comes there and asks him to come to the room. But Baek Hyun Woo tells her to sleep first. Hong Hae In went to the room, she couldn’t sleep as she was in thought about Baek Hyun Woo denying the kiss. Baek Hyun Woo slept outside his home and got back to his room in the morning.
They came back to the Chairman’s house. Yoon Eun-Seong was there at the house. Yoon Eun-Seong told Baek Hyun Woo that he would be staying here as he was invited by Hong Hae In’s mother. Hong Hae In’s family shows him their house. Hong Soo-Cheol proposes a plan infront of the chairman as he got a connection with Yoon Eun-Seong now. But the budget of the project was very high and Baek Hyun Woo suggested that it’s very risky. So the chairman told them to review the risks of it.

Hong Hae In went to meet the doctor. The doctor said curing this disease is very rare and the probability of saving her given by German doctors was not exact as Hong Hae In has worse disease. As Hong Hae In walks out she sees the juice-selling guy at her company and seeing his difficulties she offers an order of 250 orders so that he gets good money for hospital needs. Baek Hyun Woo gets the SD card of the CCTV at the forest, he gives it to a shop to recover the files. The chairman’s daughter and his current wife have a fight in the kitchen.
Hong Hae In meets the doctor again as she needs to go to Germany for testing. The doctor tells her to postpone treatment as the count of White Blood cells in her body is too low so it is not sufficient for German doctors to extract. But Hong Hae In says she will go as she can’t wait any longer. As she comes out and talks about her tumour her aunties hear it. Hong Hae In tells her aunt about her condition.
At the end of the episode, Hong Hae In goes to Germany all alone. Hong Hae In’s aunty tells her she will accompany her too but Hong Hae In tells her she will go alone. Hong Hae In went to Germany and did testing but the doctor told her to wait as her blood count was not enough for the treatment. Hong Hae In’s aunty tells Baek Hyun Woo that Hong Hae In went alone to Germany.

Hong Hae In gets disappointed and sits in a favourite spot she likes when they go on their honeymoon. Baek Hyun Woo runs to her an changes her shoes and tells her he needs to be with her in all her moments. They cry and have a kiss each other out of love.
Overall this episode was really good, as they have rejoined again with love and affection. We can see some good moments in the coming episodes.
